Guess what, the ELC EVEN 90 early access promo popped up after my first battle today, right after my 30% discount coupon would have expired.

Got some screenshots of my endeavour:

I bought it anyways because I like passive scouts, but shame on you WG and how am I not surprised that this happened ...

In the light of Ph3lan and Kandly's recent charm offensive, maybe we can get a comment on this issue?

I mean, this doesn't sound coincidental to me.

If it's not on this subject, then it doesn't matter really. In any case, the marketing ploy worked on me.

Why would you passive scout with any tank in 2018, though.

Always remember, Wargaming is not in it for you, they only care about their own wallet in the end ;)

Why passive scout with a tank you can park under enemy tanks for concealment?

Wouldn't buy it even with a 70% discount.

tbh, it's one of the premiums I can see myself keep playing just for the fun-factor ... and you being in elc-p really should consider it :bush:

What do you mean by "If it's not on this subject"? Off-topic?

Wargaming is of course in their right to do as they please, I'm just curious if they choose to be up-front about it. I rather enjoy poking what appears to be a <censored preemptively> company. Don't really care that much.

You quoted the moderators, but I couldn't see on what subject. That's why I mentioned it, but I do agree with you they should be up-front.

In the support ticket, they say they can't add me manually due to the nature of the campaign. As it popped up yesterday, I was added automatically after the coupon expired. As you can see from my screenshots, I could have used to get a 30 to 40 euro discount on the Mauerbrecher package, which is more money than I have spent now on the ELC.

I'm guessing the philosophy behind this marketing tactic was that I was less likely to use the coupon on an item I had the occasion to buy during the Christmas event. Whereas this is a new tank and if I'm interested, I will use the coupon. From my point of view, this event is showing a big middle finger to paying customers.

Short comment due to phone: It's a simple and public way of summoning forum staff and other members if the need arises. Works rather well.

I got an 'Early Access' offer for it last night... I can hardly be the 'first' to get one, I've been shooting them for a week...

Well it happend to me in the same way. When my 20% coupon expired the next day i played one battle and the offer popped up. I created a ticket and asked for another 20% coupon so i can buy it for €20 instead of €25. It's not that the 5 euro's is a lot of money but more of a matter that wargaming does not do anything about it + it's not my fault that they "forgot" to include me and some others.

I think it's pretty standard not being able to get a discount newly launched item. I don't think that I have ever been able to buy a preorder item for a discounted price in any shop. Ever. If you want it on a discount you will have to wait until the new item hype is over. Just like everywhere else..

Funny part is that you can't even use that code for it anyway. Since codes now only work more or less on stock premium tanks (when they aren't discounted) and premium time.

Is it not custom to discount a preorder or to put in additional value? Why else would a customer cough up money before it's released? :P (this tank is not preorder though, just early access).

It's strange because I used my 20% coupon to get the T92 in December, so no real reason for them to stop this now I would have thought. Cost me £17 instead of £20.

Wrong, look at my link with the screenshots. I managed to activate it for the Mauerbrecher package and in the first screenshot it says the coupon works for any item in the shop.

The Mauerbrecher and T92 were both open, if time-limited, releases. Different from the ELC EVEN in that regard.
