Im hating this thing. getting autopenned by teir 8 tanks all over. TD's ruin me and pushing forward in this turd is a death scentance. the guns not even that great ether as i always low roll 440ish or below for a 490 alpha gun. the gold pen is trash too, unlike T-10 340 heat.

Great sidescraper tho.. if you can side scrape that is. so whats others opinion on this thing? im not enjoying it...

Edit: just sidescraped and angled perfect.  the 268v4 just pen my cheek and set me on fire frontally..... must..not..ragesell...

Just got the absolute crap kicked outa me by a IS-M penning me every shot with AP as i drive forwards.... i dont even know how the hell he was doing that...this tank is ..trash..

I met 705 today. 6x premium ammo of my obj.140 to the side of 705. All bounces.

obj 430U is one more creep to milk players into spending more on premium ammo.

Funny a Emil1 with standard 217apcr went right threw my side without fail.

Does it have same magic spaced armour than IS-7 etc. or just raw thickness like IS-4? Spaced ones are more unreliable but cause those magic bounces / absorption.

Also again, through. Threw is past tense of throw.

To slow to be good, more sluggish then 150+ ton heavys, both guns are bad , but the 122 over the 130 any day.

No, it's called "don't spam HEAT at spaced armour with extremely angled armour surface behind it".

Too early to say, my dear Search. :^)

Will get one this week. Seems to be better than the IS-M, tho, so that's something. At first it seems to be like the VK 45.02 B that trades lower plate armor and accuracy for significantly better turret and slightly lower profile.

I think they are one trick ponies,

side-scrape and nothing more.

Also IS7 has worse premium round at 303 pen,

because it has the same gun one tier higher,

so don't complain about pen much ;).

met one on swamp in my T50. Freindly T-44 bounced all over him but my HEAT had no issues :hiding:

It actually can't sidescrape well. From the model on tanks.gg you can see that it's easy to overangle the flat part of the sides.

Also engine deck is 40mm thick and just in front of the turret, so facehugging may work as well. It may be more balanced than how it appeared.

Turret is like 320 plus effective with no cupolas, upper plate is 250 effective and lower plate is about 210 effective.

Also actually has two viable guns.

Seems pretty well balanced to me for a tier 9 heavy.

Wrong forum. Newly introduced Soviet tank not being over-powered is clearly a bug that you should report in Current Update.

I want a refund on mine, because I was getting shot on my turret a lot.... It has cupolas and a 30 mm roof, over-matched by all 120 mm guns...

I don't mind because I don't think a fast heavy should hull-down, but its kind of funny the anti-Russian  crowd  definition of OP...

There are no cupolas and it has a 60mm roof so not sure what you are talking about, unless you are talking about the 257?

Indeed i only have the stock engine and i feel sooo slow.. that new engine better make it a speedster with how crap the front armor is, im getting gold spammed by T-44 and they rip me apart last match, no matter how much i angled going forwards.

Also screw the dev who gave this thing cheeks on the front. it cant even sidescrape well because of them. i got penned there yesterday and set on fire. if you cant sidescrape in this then its another Kranvang all over again, useless unless you are in "them" situations. the guns crap and derpy, whats the point of this thing? it looks cool but thats it.

With the 440 alpha gun aint it just a bad T-10? are the gun stats way better or something on the 2nd gun? i really dislike the 490 gun as its too derpy but the 440 alpha seems pretty bad for a tank like this.

well i tried using the 440 gun but i got a 0 damage game coz i was too slow to get to the fight on time. god... this tank blows, id rather play a O-HO than this trash.

Somehow i didn't have a problem to use premium ammo on 705 side in later games. My point was that RNG is real and such bounces happen to me with other tanks too even though i aim in the same spots.

My suggestion to the author of this thread is to be patient as sooner or later the tank will show its full strengths.
