I'll get there, just be patience.

Not every HT is easy to XP, especially if you need more skill with stock. So far (in my T29) I am good at knocking on enemy tanks to let them know they do not need to worry I will ever pen them, unless they forget to rock and give me the chance to aim.

Don't forget, my 2 least played tanks have the worst % win rating, while my 2 most played are 2nd and 3rd spot on the % win.Wotstats

Make that tomorrow or later. No save game available, so have to play to get one or more

I notice you haven't played the M6 or the T20, but you have a few on the Jumbo. Do you, per chance, try to play the T29 with the 76mm M1A2 gun?

Please write on the forums if your stats (edit: in the T29) are this trash after you get the 90mm gun (and consider getting the turret before the 105mm; the 90mm is perfectly serviceable anyway).

I play the T29 as stock,

with upgraded Radio! :bajan: and ofc some awesome tracks too. :child:

Here are links to 3 replays on the Wotreplay server
http://wotreplays.eu/site/4159418#karelia-turret_armor-t29
I solo flanked into a quick death, but stayed the whole game. There are a couple of views of a tomato in medium tank with potential for pro skills.

I had some fun shooting at viewports .... EDIT ... Look how beautiful they where holding still so i could aim at the viewport
http://wotreplays.eu/site/4159421#sand_river-turret_armor-t29
I had some fun with a tank who drove faster forward than I could drive backward. And then I died. while he did not.

Hm, since t29 is imho still 2nd best tier 7 heavy just after full APCR 105mm m4 45, I may know where your issue is.

Let me guess, first thing you do in a battle is find some pit to hide your hull and sit hulldown waiting for enemies, then your team dies and you get bukkaked on?

T29s turret is a bait, I also did the same thing when I first got one. It's a false economy though and applies to t32 drivers as well.

You have to learn the pacing of the battles and move between positions - look for patterns of how battles develop on certain maps and adjust your playstyle.

T29 has trash dpm but a nice alpha and serviceable hull armor, take that into consideration.

And don't get discouraged, It's not entirely your fault. Youtubers like QB do a considerable damage to some below average players who watch their videos. All they do is show some tomato camping whole battle in a corner until his whole team dies, then by some miracle doing 9k dmg and winning the game. It doesn't matter for them that promoting such a playstyle is toxic for the game and creates more bad players in the process - they get their precious views. That last t95 replay on QBs channel was disgusting to watch.

hi @TheWarrener,

I posted 3 replays to the WoT Replay site. So it is possible to upgrade your opinion from "Guess" into "Knowledge".

And maybe if you are willing to open and read up on textbooks, you could even go as far as make a scientifically accurate remark.

But as a tomato, feel welcome  to stay as emotional incorrect oriented as my playstyle currently is and probably forever will be.

You forgot to mention the part about "dabbing the two key* being part of the winning strategy :)

I saw the service record of a bot today. He happens to have both the T34 and T34-B. T34 with 30ish wr, T34-B with like 30 games played 75%wr (and even LOWER dpg than T34.lel). That just shows you have bad or good luck you can have with your teams.

30 games with 75% is possible. luck of the draw with millions of players.

WoW had a lot of difficulty understanding that out of 11m players, its easy to have 500.000 players stuck on the RNG. That is a lot of complaints for a slim margine of things happening ... or not happening.

if the odds are 1 in 100 and there is exactly that 1 player ... tough luck ... 1 complaint or 500.0000 ... it hurts.

ha ha that would be painful, every time i come across a T29 it's not lacking in punch so op must be using the little gun

One does not simply play T29 with 76mm gun!

Please, for all that is holy. Don't!

I for example went the route via sherman jumbo ( back in the days before HEAT was nerfed ) and then researched T20 to get the 90mm gun.

Take this as a friendly advice.

The first rule off the T29 is: you do not play the T29 with a 76 mm gun.

The second rule of the T29 is: YOU DO NOT PLAY THE T29 WITH A 76 MM GUN!

I don't care where or how you get the 90 mm gun, just get it before you play any more T29 games.

Just so you don't feel so bad, today I drove around the entire map in my T29 and didn't fire a single shot,

I barely even saw an enemy tank.

Everyone in the team did something, except me.

(I was top tier...)

I only watched the Karelia game but here are some pointers....

- Dont EVER play the T29 with the 76mm gun....Use free XP or unlock the 90mm from the MT branch.

- Make your mini map bigger.

- Why on earth do you sit still in the open when there are 3 artys on the map? All you had to do was back down a bit towards the "hole" and you would have been hull down and no one could have penned you. Your team could also have supported you if you did.

- You should have seen you were alone and stayed in the "hole" spotting for your redline TDs from the beginning.

- Never ever sit still in the open like that. You just stopped in the middle of nowhere when you spotted that T34-85.

Oh dear.

Classic noob mistake.  Trying to save time by going to the heavy line via the mediums.

Put the T29 away until you have the 90mm gun unlocked.

It looks like you went for the T29 from the 'wrong line'.

You simply don't get it from the Jumbo, you get it from M6 so you have the 90mm gun.

Or after having played T20 so you have the 90mm gun.
