I purchased this tank in 2015 one drunken Christmas night and I immediately regretted.

At the time it was as blind as a bat, slow and the pen left a lot to be desired. Armour was something that worked when top tier otherwise is offered little the minute a tier 9 and 10 showed up. Granted, I was a pretty crap player at the time.

After buffs to the pen and view range over the past few patches I would play it a little but still regretted every purchasing it because it just felt too fat. The buffs, in my opinion, were not keeping up with the power creep.

But now, the engine buff has really turned it in to a little treat. I played about 10-games in it last night and even with the punishing MM tier 8s face I had a good time. Still a long way to go to fix its stats but I think it is quite a decent tank now. It finally feels like a medium.

Not even looked at mine since the patch. Have they fixed the potato launcher gun, or is the tank now faster than its shells?

It still doesn't like to snipe but I had no issues hitting my shots last night. I find that the better mobility allows you to get in to advanced positions and shorten engagements so the gun actually works.

Granted I had my Obj 140 girls in it with Snap Shot and Smooth Ride, so a lesser crew may not be as effective.

When it wasn't top tiered, making the 44-100 the overall better pick. I'm not a fan of these changes. 54 was good armour and bad mobility and 44-100 was good mobility and bad armour. Buffing 54 mobility and 44-100 armour just blurrs the lines between the two. I guess 54 is the overall better pick nowadays? Kinda?

with the latest buffs it has basically entered the OP category. 190 pen is literally the only balancing factor this tank has now. However, as no one uses a tier 8 medium to grind credits, a quick dab of the 2 key solves all of your gun related problems.

T-44-100 is much better though. The armor on the Prototype is still irrelevant in 70%+ of the battles and although it's not a slug anymore, T-44-100 is still noticeably faster and more mobile while also carrying a much better gun. T-44-100 is what tier 8 mediums should be like.

The gun of T-54 Mod 1 is still complete garbage and I can't stand playing tanks with low alpha, low penetration and bad gun handling.

So the Lorr doesn't make credits?

Armor is the other thing. You can manage to get that miracle bounce when you wiggle or rock your tank to make them hit the turret side but that's it. With the current effed up MM the only thing the speed allows you is either to run away ( good luck trying to outrun a tier 9 or 10 med or light though ) when you face tier 9s and 10s you just can't fight because of the pen or actually be able to outmaneuver same tier heavies.

I like mod 1 but pen is useless for some tier8, 9, 10 vehicles. I would prefer pen buff instead of engine buff.

Naaah. 44-100 gets light tank mobility and bigger buffs.

Going up the Himmelsdorf hill side to side with a Strv S1 - Found that interesting lel. I think this new HP/ton is a bit  overtuned. It needed a small buff, maybe to the ground resistances to make it a bit more mobile, but now it just feels like it has Patton mobility lol (which isn't the fastest tier 10 medium)

I nuked a super unicum playing one of these in my IS-3A by repeatedly penning his turret neck every time he tried sidescrape me. shocking how weak that turret as a whole is.

I've not been able to experience its armour yet, I'm yet to see a Tier 7 tank in the first 12 games I've played in it.

I've had 2 Tier VIII only games, 8 Tier X games and 2 Tier IX games.

I love the match maker, I also love having to fight an Obj 268 V4 with less than 200mm penetration.

Okay Lorr, STG and Ravioli are the best medium earners. Everything else either has crappy penetration or 240 alpha
