obj 705a is not a good armour tank.And heavy's have to be heavy's at last.

Erlenberg:

Maybe I´m thinking this wrong but imo the spawns of both teams should be on the same side of the river again so that teams don´t intuitively take opposite sides of the map and then stare at eachother accross the river like it always turns out.

Might not be possible these days with the view range saturation, but this split with the river is really bad and might not be possible to fix without making it fordable basically everywhere. Which might also be a solution as the riverbed at least would offer some cover.

i totally agree, saying that for years as well. More maps instead of focus on tweaking existing ones (or both). Just take a real city, like berlin, take the centre and make a copy paste map, converted to ww2 surroundings to make it accurate for the time ofcourse.  same for other important locations.  More maps would be great. +++

I'm wondering where the cap circle will go on Erlenberg assault mode. Out in the open? Just one house for cover?
Apart from that, you deleted the entire northwestern hill to the north of the castle, why?

The changes in elevation on many of the maps leave tanks nowhere to even go slightly hull down except around a few big ridges.

You might want to take a look at Paris, which is the most toxic map in the game right now.  Swamp is imbalanced and the north team always wins, with the southern one being hopeless, no matter your skill level. Highway is the other way around - southern team easily pushes and wins every time, with the town being utterly useless. Oh yes, and Mines Encounter makes it impossible to defend the cap from the south.

I like that there are more bushes on those maps in general but why on earth you like to support the camping meta by adding them behind the bases? Reward good active spotting and place the bushes on the middle of the map and hot spots but not like this...

 

TD-camping meta?  It must be YEARS since the last time I was able to do some decent SNIPING with a TD on this monkeys' game....

That is pretty much the meta for every map summed up right there -because every hill is getting flattened to make sure heavy brawling is uninterrupted and the winners will just roll over everything else.

The battles last 15 minutes MAX

I cannot remember a draw on Erlenberg and I must have played it a 1000 times !

Man Up WG ! There is nothing wrong with having to out think or out manoeuvre the opponent !

 

This is an excuse for more heavy brawls - leading to more armour , more gold spamming, more credits lost and more premium accounts and tanks bought to make WG more money...... so transparent.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

GREAT POST MATE, nailed it on the head. It's not just for heavy brawlers, it's for the monkeys running around in their OP (premium) tanks, it's for kids, easy to play, no tactics, no planning, no brains, just run around and shoot, no fear of someone with more brain and knowledge using map positioning and camo ruining your stupid game.  This game has become a playground for moron 5 year-olds, do you want proof? Go into Team Training with your Voice Chat enabled, and join some rooms: I guarantee you the majority of rooms will be hosted by little kids from eastern Europe. Try it, it is shocking.

Then of course play some random battles and watch the most idiotic battles by teams that all go one side or just shoot around any old how, even at high tiers.

I look forward to playing the new maps, although as someone else has stated, we need new ones too, as for the WG artists, I think they do a fantastic job, but please to stop the game becoming boring, please add a few more maps, maybe add a jungle one too, that could make it a bit more interesting.

So, when is "prokhorovka" going to get a design improvement. On that map the team in the north got a significant advancement on the west side of the map. also starting points of lights is for them closer on the west with the result they are earlier in spotting positions then the south ever can.

 

Also the hill might use a revisit. but the main issue is the west with that the corner of death in the bottom left where a lot of tanks like to camp and die because they cannot see anything.

Sooooo u are changing maps from ... hmm ... reasons..... unknown...

 

Game fails at matchmaking system, rng is matter of jokes world wide, massive use of illegal mods sold by wargaming itself is now proved already and u focus on changing maps why?

 

From reasons given one could say  next : 1. ok we have loads of server controled bots which need new places to sit and do nothing so they are harder to recognize (u need keep awards coming for fake number of players)

2. to many players are retarded enough to drown in river all over again in same place so we need make it passable as they have brain of chicken from moana movie

3. players cant hide tank behind building as their limited brain functions cant comprehend such mass of data

4. by making more cover for tds/sniper meds/lights we will destroy all action on game and hts will be forced to go heavy packed housing areas to fight which will result in illegal mods profit rise and massive use of retarded tanks like type 5 and such

5. u can say u make game look better and who cares if it works as long as it looks realistic (yeah look is important not the gameplay mechanics... what retard thought othervise...)

 

U still dont get it?

Real players left this game years ago cause u destroy everything that is good and fix things so [edited]can play it easier.... now they will die fast after they pass river and not while trying to pass through river .....

Please stop with this " we listened to your feedback" nonsense. It's insulting. No one wants maps with more opportunities for TDs to hide at the back and punish bold play. No one but the redline campers, of course. 

You do what you do to make more money. Fine. But at least be honest about it. Stop pretending that players' enjoyment is your top priority.

yeah, more trees, bushes and holes on redline and around cap circle so that a light must die if he tries to spot campers.

Hey kaptainkrunch, thank you for your feedback. :) This was a much needed change and - even though the rework of the current maps was a very important step for us, it doesn't mean that we won't be launching new ones as well! I can assure you we'll do our best to keep things interesting.

Actually really looking forward to these changes. Lets hope WG start putting in as much effort into other things as they have with these maps.

 

Only thing i dont like is Kharkov changes. My favourite map and i love it how it is :( But i guess i am in the minority here and cant complain too much. Atleast Erlenberg is semi playable now

Map time .....

I would rather see this time and effort put in to making new maps .

Im not so sure if these maps are the ones that needed changes the most to bring more balance \ improve gameplay .

I know they are working on 2 new maps , but i feel that is too little too late .

For me adding new tanks \ lines in tech tree , it is a way to add content to the game , but for me it does not much to keep the game fresh anymore , regularly adding new maps would .

So when i see an article that starts with map time , i feel a lot more could be done .

-- actually release new maps

--  have map vote system in game or otherwise gather info and put the least favorite maps temporary out of map cycle , to make room for new maps , or at some point completely remove those maps from the game to make room for new maps .

--  if its map time , then its time for a map contest , where the best maps that have been designed in some form by the community

 will be implemented  \ worked on by the mapping department of WG wot .

--  release some kind of map editor
