I keep hearing about how many maps are disliked, even hated, but I never hear of anyone mentioning how good a certain map is.

Do you have any favourites, that you relish playing ?

For all it's hatred, I'm rather partial to Prokhorovka/Fiery Salient.

*Best map, damn typos, and no means to alter the title.  (Thank you SuedKAT)

I like Himmelsdorf, Karelia, Pilsen, Ruinberg, Serene Coast, Siegfried Line, Stalingrad, Steppes, Kharkov, Sacred Valley, Windstorm, Airfield, El Halluf and Klondike.

As you can see it's way faster to write what map I don't like! ;)

My immediate reaction to a map is usually determined by what tank I'm playing or what the team decide to do in the early part of the battle. For example, I don't mind playing Himmelsdorf regardless of my tank but it's usually a terrible game if someone demands a hill push and most of the team follow him up there, which is depressingly common in encounter battles.

I think Steppes or Redshire are probably my favourites as there's plenty of choice for whichever tank I'm playing.

Depends a bit on the tank I play at the moment, Prokhorovka sure is a favorite but if there's more than 1 arty it becomes one of my most hated maps, so I'll copy Strappster and go with Steppes and Redshire since they grant me options regardless of the tank I play.

Favourite one would be Steppea. I also quite enjoy Prokhorovka, Fisherman's Bay and Fjords.

If I had to go by an average across all classes. As in something that works regardless what I play. I have to say Redshire.

If I'm not mistaken you should be able to alter the title if you first press the normal edit button and then use the full editor :)

Maps that I do like: Prokhorovka, Malinovka, Karelia and Siegfried line.

With arty, no map is fun.

Prokhorovka and Malinovka. Not sure why Steppes is so liked, is it not just two corridors on the far sides with an enormous no-go area?

At higher tiers when view ranges are high yes, at low/mid tiers there are more options than those 2 corridors.

I quite enjoy Steppes, Karelia, Lakeville, Erlenberg assault, El Halluf, Swamp and Sand River. My favourites are Malinovka, Murovanka and Redshire. Prokhorovka can be a lot of fun depending on how your team plays. Himmelsdorf is a very good map if the MM decides not to put all the moronproof armour on one team. Mines is quite a nice map for mid or low tiers.

Sand River has always been a good map in my opinion , and still to this date , alot of choices to make.

Depends entirely on what I'm playing.

However, Malinovka, Prok/Fiery Campsite, Westfield, and Redshire are well designed maps with plenty of options and space for all types of tanks. Furthermore, because they're reasonably symmetrical, they don't suffer from unbalanced spawns (Live Oaks north spawn is the worst at the moment).

Worst is probably Sacred Valley - there's no space, no real flanking opportunities, no scouting, nothing for paper TDs to do, and it's so full of clutter in the middle that it always ends up as a point blank brawl in opposite corners.

For me also depends on spawn. Mines south spawn on encouter is just basically a loss as you lose the hill. Other maps have similar issues, i really hope this is fixed with new maps.

ow, and one of my fav maps is sigfried line

Consider this, OP. The thread title looks a bit weird like that.

To add to the topic, I'd say I like all the open maps like Prokhorovka, Malinovka, Steppes and some others. I think I like Erlenberg the most though. Had my best damage ever on that map. With the now gone SU-122-54.

Prokhorovka/Fiery Salient by far favorite, than Malinovka, Sand River, Karelia, Murovanka, Redshire, Steppes.

Basicly the more open maps.
