This is a standard map yes? Not one for grand battles?

Explored maybe a third of Glacier looks very good no problems and its nice to have another winter map desert one next please.

 

Framerates remained pretty high and unlike a couple of winter maps we have I didn't feel I was coming down with snow blindness.

 

Need to explore the rest of the map but I think it will suit most tank types.

Explored this map today with some friends. I have to say iam impressed with the map: 

 

1: It looks beautifull and its not the standard 3 corridors with a castle kind of map!

2: A very open feeling but still enough cover and routes for heavys. 

3: Finally a more scout friendly map with bushes:bush:

4: Lots of hiding places and hull down locations. Boy i love the high and low ground kind of style. 

5: More sneaky roads and crossovers towards different paths to escape. 

 

This is what i call a unique and interesting map design. Not some boring remake or small city maps like paris or pilsen! 

There is a long way to go with map design but this is a good direction for sure :) Can't wait to see it go live!

You can see the other cap from your cap, its a small map... so no its not for Grand Battles..

As far as I can tell, the middle of this map will be quite pointless as there is no cover whatsoever. Besides that there needs to be an accespoint to the Aircraft carrier from the northside aswell and perhaps some more cover/hulldown spots there aswell. It looks pretty but I think the worst thing about it is the severely lacking behaviour of the ice. No seriously, this doesn't feel like ice, for all I know it might be in the bloody desert. Add a slide to the ice because I am quite sure that if I were to drive a tank over ice (and it somehow doesn't break thanx to the sheer mass of said tank) I wouldn't stop at a moments notice, Ice needs to be slippery and slidy and not behave like normal underground.

Would be cool if camping tanks would break into ice after like 20seconds without moving, looking at mauses and type 5 diabetes here :hiding:

Looks solid. The only thing I dont really like is the bushes right next to the cap circle, which will be ultimate wet dream for base campers and those bushes actually seem to cover a lot of flanks.

issue with that would be that it will screw over people more than it will be helpfull, However sliding would be fun, just imagine tracking a light tank going at 72km/h over the ice, he would be like 50-100m further before he comes to halt or tanks that are tracked and then slide into the water.

Too many ships and they are far too large, the scale is way off making the tanks look like toys.

But I like the deep snow, like on Erlenburg, can't wait for similar effect with mud.

like this map played middle off map did ok spot enemy team so good for scouts and medium tanks also went there in the 5a did good also got some cover from arty. But need be carefull when u play middle off map because there always camping tds in back.Not played other flanks yet.

The ships are a bit too much,but ice is great,too early to tell on layout

map looks great. but while driving around. i crashed into a house. near g8. There are 2 blue houses. u can drive in trough a window and suddenly u are in the house.

maybe 1 little addon. is tere a way to mke the is crack. that would be awesome.

Played it once.  I don't like it.

  • I don't like the east side mountain trail-You can't push it from below. Makes that side a death march for trying to take it with the 900 bushes/trees.
  • I don't like the center-medium rush point to the center-wonder what happens if one side gets wonder mediums and the other gets undesirable ones.
  • West side-I like it except for the south spawn getting there it is really open.

 

North spawn has a lot of advantages on this map.
