Zoot alors.

The Paris office goes to lunch on Friday, and then seamlessly segues into early evening cocktails.

Post the weekend special on the front page of EU news? NON, just like the good old days, might require leaving the bar and setting behind a computer long enough to press load.

They even removed the event calendar from the drop down menu on the portal. I suspect because no one checked it, as WG never added anything to it until the event started. But I suspect they will post it on their portal and FP page tomorrow 5 hours after the event has started. As they did before as you pointed out.

Bah Humbug, clearly I am not "romantic" enough to notice the Valentines thing lasts from the 14th February 2018 right over the whole weekend until the 18th.

In my defence, I did buy my wife a large bunch of flowers on the 14th!

I just remembered an anecdotal story  (which concerns Paris so it is very relevant! :B) my father once told meabout a friend of his who decided to take a trip to Paris... by car. Very brave or very foolish, you might say. He eventually found himself driving around the Arc de Triomphe, round and round he went, and because this is anecdotal, let's say he kept going like that for hours because he, not being French, didn't have the necessary arrogance needed to switch lanes. He might have been stuck in that crazy roundabout till he ran out of gas, if it hadn't been for a French traffic cop who started to wonder why the same car just went round and round. The cop saved him by stopping the traffic and letting him drive away 'unmolested' as it were.

My father had a similar anecdote about driving around the Arc de Triomphe. I suspect there are even Parisians who have similar anecdotes lol.

Thats pretty funny. When I was learning to drive and still had L plates on my father used to make me drive around Marble Arch, down Park Lane and then around Hyde Park Corner (this was at a time when neither Marble Arch or Hyde Park Corner had traffic lights to control traffic streams). He said I would be able to manage anything if I could manage those two. I passed my test when still 17. In the summer before my 19th birthday I had the pleasure of driving on the rue peripherique (which was frankly terrifying), and later the Arc du Triomphe roundabout. The later I had no trouble with, which I put down to my fathers driving lessons around Hyde Park Corner. I have even greater respect now for my father now that I have a 17 year old of my own to take out. He must have possessed nerves of steel to let me as a learner go round Marble Arch and Hyde Park Corner. But his calm words were still in my head as I navigated the Arc du Triomphe.
