You ever see a tank and you're like, "damn, it doesn't look bad on paper. can't wait to try it out!"

then you buy it, and your hopes and dreams shatter. i've been a victim of WZ-131. Holy crapwhat a piece of cack is this tank. No view range, no gun handling, no gun depression, no DPM.

Compared to my AMX 13 75, this tank should get down-tiered. What a disappointment.

another one is VK 30.02M. Good on paper, absolute trash in gameplay. Slow, armor rarely works, gun handling not good enough to compensate size & mobility.

Quite some tanks:

-E50M

-E3

-pershing

-M4 and PZIV.

And from a long time ago , the french TDs, a year or 2 ago I looked at their stats and they looked awesome. Then I played them and sold the tier7 and havent grinded them since.

A-44. Quite possibly the worst tank in the game. In the end I switched to the peashooter gun and went full APCR to make it fun.

IS-3 and Cromwell.

While I get positively impressed by Chi-Ri!

But luckily different people like different tanks, otherwise this game would be boring! :)

Firefly

What's the point when strv 74 does everything better? The only thing that the firefly has going for it is having enough gold pen to punch through the front of an IS-3.

LTTB

I only played it back when it had 3 degrees of gun depression, and you had to fight your own tank more than the enemy just to put shots in them. At least WZ-120 has turret armor and alpha, so you can work around the gun depression issue.

It's one of those tanks where you just sit back and pen everything you meet frontally. It's a turreted TD.

WZ-131 is still great fun. But I had the same experience with the WZ-132. That was terrible for me vs how it looked on paper.

Others that spring to mind is the Tiger, T-34-100, Panther, 110 and the Conway.

If I want to do that I just play the hellcat and load apcr and get both more alpha and more mobility. Firefly just sucks (or I'm a noob who can't get it to work :P).

Another tank that dissapointed me,

TVP VTU

I was told by WG that it was a good counter against the defender, but it was all a lie...

The biggest disappointment for me in tanks is probably the VK3601H when it became a heavy :/..killed one of my fave tanks.

Obj 416 and the A44 definitly

lots and losts of potencial in paper, in practice, very situational gameplay wich requires a specific style of play to make them work

and its not i didnt tryed to play them, i did more than 200 games with this tanks, 45 and 48% winrate, and its not that i played badly...

its how they fail to have regular inpact in the games other than trying to be invisible tanks who pack a punch, but only when the enemy is not paying atention to you

in the end, they are not medium, not TD's, they are just something very unique but they fail to work in most circunstances.

WZ1115A and M48A5 Patton.

Idk what i expected from the 5A. but i absolutly loved the 1-4 and ive kept it. the 5A just didn't feel enough...

As for the M48A5 it just didn't feel like enough of an upgrade from the m46. Then again , im biased against tier 10 because i hate it... So i just couldn't enjoy the patton and the turret armor just fails me all the time

Well, since I suck at all of them I can either stay positive and say that none have disapointed me or I can be negative and say that they all have.

Since this is WOT, and especially the WOT forums, I don't have any choice except to say

None have disapointed me, I have only been disapointed in myself

cromwell for me, I have the cromwell B with a 3.5 skill crew, now have a 1.5 crew in the cromwell and it still cannot hit a barn door with a banjo  - it's such an eye opener

Worst experiences:

TVP VTU

Strv 74

I'm also very bad with T-54, although it is not a bad tank on paper. The gun is not enough hard-hitting for my taste.

The tier VI and VII French tank destroyers, took me years to grind up to the tier 8 because they were so unfun to play.
