Why?

Regardless how MM is going to work, I mean ever. There's always going to be a bunch of Yolos, ppl who have no clue after 40k games how the mechanics works, where to be, what to shoot.

I'm simply tired of this. You can't kill them all, and Guys I'm almost 50 years old. I don't play 4 stats anymore. It's nice yes. But really, not really. I play for fun.

It this is simply impossible in WOT. Simply how the mechanics are built.

So, Gyus at WG, thanks for the encredible time I've spent in your game but this has come to it's end. I'll play until my end of premium, which I bought, even I told myself not to.

Best regards, All of you enjoying the game. I'm keeping the account, no matter. Maybe we see each of other in the future...

Thanks...

So basically it's fine for you to have 49% win rate after 30k battles which means you have hardly learned the basics, but others aren't entitled to the same and they should be carrying your arse? Most likely they too would counter what you said with "I play for fun" or "I don't play for stats" which is exactly what you did here.

If it's ok for you to "play for fun" and "not play for the stats" why aren't the others allowed to do the same?

You need to find a good platoon mate; that should work.

I hit a similar 'bored' patch a couple of thousand games ago - got past it but don't play anywhere near as much as I used to.

Keep at it man, this really is a GG:)

You do realise that win rates have sod all to do with a players ability & everything to do with the team your put in? But then again, how would you know. 799 battles & over half of them in a premium TD.
The worst kind of players are the Edited the prospect of playing a tank game, cant be bothered to learn how to play. Just dive in & buy a Tier 8 premium & ruin the team for everyone else.

Flip-Flop much?  It sounds like you just came here for a hug....  Awwwwwww.  You can't even commit to quit the game.  What was the purpose of your post again because it had nothing to do with "gameplay" which is the subject matter for this part of the forum.  You seemed to have posted here because it is very active and regardless of content which leads me to believe you are simply reaching out.  Everyone, all together.. So stop playing for fun, get serious, play to achieve a goal, and stop freeloading off your teams. No wonder you are bored if all you look for is 'fun', there is nothing more aimless and decadent than having no ambitions. Here is a thought, try hard to get your WR above 50%, then above 51%, and when you have think back at what achieved and you'll definitely think to yourself 'that was fun'.

Exactly, all unicums have a 60+% winrate because they are lucky and all the window lickers cant get above 45% because they get all the bad teams.

You so smart!

40k games myself and my interest is declining. When you get to the amount of games we've played i think its only natural your interest will start to wane. WGs failure to innovate hasnt helped. They seem to think introducing new tanks to the tech tree is vitally important when infact everything they introduce now is just a minor variation on some other tank, all the time ignoring things like the shallow as hell crew skills that could be comprehensively expanded and used to breath life back into the game.

After a while you begin to realise that the development of the games' "playability" is mitigated by WGs need to find innovative ways of monetizing it. But it HAS been fun, by far and away the game i've put the most time into, also the game ive spent the most money on, probably a few hundred pounds over the years and i consider that great value for money.

Nothing lasts forever however.

So either they put 14 of the clueless guys on your team every single time, or ... if you are not part of the solution ...

Guessing you have not read any biographies of porn stars.... even sex gets boring when you do it enough. It's just that most people don't do it enough for it to get boring for them ;)

I now have- precisely at the time of writing- 32789 battles under my belt. One of the reasons for playing is for fun, but what motivates the fun? What I mean is- WHAT do I find FUN about the game?

Well, driving some hugely famous tanks is fun. Fighting some good tanks that are less well known (or were never even made) is also fun. Is that it? Of course not. For some idiots- and I use the term idiots- simply sitting on the battlefield in a tank until destroyed time after time after time without actually doing something useful appears to be fun for them. For me, it is a LOT more.

Finding enemy tanks and watching as my allies shoot them to bits is fun. Shooting them myself is fun as well- especially when they can't see me and I take them down. Killing enemy tanks is great fun. Killing more powerful enemy tanks is even more fun. Winning the battle is great. Winning the battle against the odds is [edited] FANTASTIC.

Losing is not fun. Being destroyed is not fun. Losing after being awesome is very frustrating. Winning after being rubbish is nice, but not fun.

I like to do more of the first, and less of the latter. Thankfully, I am good enough that I do (just about) do more of the former.

But what actually motivates me to play? WHY do I sit down in front of the PC instead of doing something else? Objectives. I need to have something in my sights (other than an enemy tank). When I play it will be to earn my daily double bonus. It will be to meet a mission objective (such as the recent mini-marathon) even if I'm not especially bothered either way about the reward (i.e. the Valentine II). It's to complete a PM or to play until I Elite a tank if I am not far off.

Without the objectives, then the game is FUN, but it has less meaning. If my only objective is to have fun, then that is (unfortunately) all too often balanced by frustration. To meet an objective: that is something else.

Regardless of whether or not you play for fun and/or objectives you will have more fun spotting, damaging and destroying enemy tanks and winning. If you can do more of that, then it is easier and less frustrating to meet whatever objectives you have set yourself. The game is much more enjoyable and you will stay.

There is only so much fun to be had as a bad (or not so good) player, regardless of what you want from the game.
