The tier 10 seems straight up OP, in my opinion. But how is the tier 9? How does it compare to the tier 10 S.conquerer tier for tier? Is it as crapas m103 for example which has giant cupola and roof made out of cheese? How viable is the turret armor compared to S.conq? And how does it compare to rest of tier 9 heavies?

I absolutely love mine. My favourite tier 9 right now and my go to tank at the moment. Average damage with it comparable to some of my tier 10s. Cant recommend it enough what a beast in my opinion.

Edit after reading your post again lol: Armor is not very reliable though, I try to not get hit all. Cupola isn't that difficult to hit, can't really sidescrape, lower plate cheese. If you get hull down its not too bad tho. DPM also not the best. Gun laser accurate which is why I love it and those sweet 330 pen APCR rounds mmmhm.

its just my opinion, but this is definitely one off, if not the best tier 9 HT.

Conqueror is not a w key heavy, but if you can position yourself correctly, this tank is quite a butt kicker, for me its definitely best tier 9 i have played so far, in 46 battles i have played with it im averaging higher damage per game than almost any other tank i have played so far, including most of tier 10s. gun handling combined with good turret and gun depression is what you need in this hull down meta ;) i dont have the  tier 10 yet, but tier for tier conqueror is probably stronker tank, due to matchmaking.

edit: Junglist_ +1 ;)

As a player that has had it for a long time... Don't waste your time grinding. The armor is weak, the pen is ok, the damage is average, the sped is average, the dpm has been nerfed. I'd say you're better of with the E-75.

Awesome tank as the guys already said but one small thing to add is that it takes arty shells badly unlike Russians or Japanese heavies.

I enjoy playing it every now and then. Great gun with good DPM (slightly nerfed after 9.20.1), armor is average at best (turret spaced armor will help you against HE(AT) if you get any shot to them but overall turret isn't that great; hull is pretty bad unless you get into hulldown position, mostly because of lower plate being made of cheese), mobility is average for heavy (pretty good turret rotation though). Can't sidescrape much and quite vulnerable to HE (a good direct hit from arty can take down more than half of your HP) and ammorack is weak (Safe Stowage is A MUST). Still, it's a fun tank to play and one of the better ones, although expect quite some Premium spam (although it doesn't really need Premium spam, you can usually outplay it IMO).

Overall, top-tier British heavy rework went pretty great - finally they have some good heavy tanks. Although even before Conqueror was an awesome Tier 9 tank.

It's very good, just rendered a tad pointless because the tier 10 is identical except better.

I think Conqueror is a classic example of the changes the game is going through - it was a perfectly fine, powerful but well balanced tank that took skill to play and then Wargaming decided that it will get buffed to -10 gun depression so any bob can play it without requiring a lot of skill. Like the trend with the high tier heavies(and TDs, and mediums...) has lately been, it's now just easy with the Conqueror to just find a position to sit in and camp while the enemy needs to load gold to pen your weak spots. And here we have tier 10 gameplay in a nutshell. The sucky thing for tier 9 tanks is that they see tier 10 nearly every game and they suffer a lot from this as well.

The old Conqueror was proof that a tank should never have more than -7 gun depression if it has a strong turret. It was also a good example of a tank that had armor if the driver knew how to play the tank but since it couldn't be played like an IS-3 this had to be changed. :)

Maybe the best tier 9 heavy tank, anyone who says differently is either silly or just trolling.

Not idiot proof like rasha tanks though.

Get it, play it, love it.

It was good before the buff, it's a beast now.

IMO it was better before the "buffs". At least a lot more enjoyable to play.

I loved it before they changed it. I see it as like it has been nerfed. I liked the gun and mobility. It did not need more armor and trade it for mobility. Because of that I sold it.

Indeed. The 3 extra degrees (and extra armor) are a strong asset, but the higher dpm made the tank special.
