Played only a few games in it and i think ive touched that speed mabye 1 or 2 times going down a slope..It kinda feels like ive got the stock engine but its fully upgraded..

i was looking forward to playing it due to the 50kph (As stated) to be cheeky sometimes and mabye go with the meds in tier 10 games...but it seems not to be the case?

It seems to be on par with the IS7 on moderate/Heavy ground speed/Acceleration-wise and as such can any crewskills help much?

Or am i missing something??

Advice is welcomed.Thanks!

It's the same as the AMX 40 or AMX 65t. They both can do 50 according to the stats. But you hardly ever see more then 27. 65t stays under 30 for 90% of most matches while moving.

I can confirm it does at least 50 kph whilst rage diving off the Overlord cliff.

No real surprise, since it was supposed to fit better into the line than the more mobile T-10. The 'off-road driving' skill helps a tiny bit on medium terrain (and a fair bit on soft, which you will need knowing the IS-7's soft terrain resistance). Just remember you're not a medium tank - you're a heavy with a big gun and armor with more troll than a Norwegian folktale.

The emile II is the same it never reaches max speed. On paper it looks like it would be close to med speed in game it feels sluggish.

I spend most of my time in mine sideways so wouldn't know, it goes fast enough and is agile enough to wiggle wiggle the broken sides at people so they bounce most of the time.

When lower tier its fun to go with the meds as they do not expect a 'Heavy' to confront them(Team set-up allowing)...did it many a time with good results in the IS3..

A bit slower than i thought so looking at options for its use at the moment...just a bit dissapointed with the 'Stated' speed (YUK!!)

It would be a bit too good of a tank if it went 50 on flat terrain :playing:

It does 50 the same as the IS-7 does 60, i.e. not on the flat.

As soon as I'm done proving the AMX 40 hits 50, I'll jump on this one.

If that is the case i have a mountain bike that does 140kph..wanna buy it??------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------(Only when cycling down MT Snowden tho?)

Isnt it just better for WG to state 'Straight line-on the flat' speeds?

Maybe.  It's not like it isn't a common thing though.  I don't know how you get to tier IX without having come across it before.

I think literally every heavy tank in the game is the same.

Come to think about it...every car in the world is the same.

My Volvo has a top speed according to the speedo of 190mph...It will never get above 155...

Common or not?.. or whether i have come across it before?? does not deviate from the fact that the stated speed is wrong?

..and the tiers i have reached or whether i have come across it before have nothing to do with that outcome..

Whether i come across it earlier or later does not matter to that fact..

= Stated speed should be amended for players to see and make their own minds up whether to get the tank or not???...

It's not if you can get to that speed.  Even if you can only do it down hill with a push.

It's why pushing a Maus is useless, once you hit top speed it won't go any faster no matter how much power you add.

Homer...

Sometimes you are a wealth of good advice and thoughts ill give you that...But sometimes your thoughts do not cohere?

= The tank does not do 50kph so the 'Stated' speed should be adjusted to the 'True' speed

(If 'True speed' is anything by your way of thinking then my mountain bike does 140kph............'True speed' should = average speed not 'Max speed'....(Is that fair to say??)
