I'm probably going to grind the t9 obj 430 and 430u during march's TOTT.

I've heard that the 430u is strong, but heard very little about the 430. It doesn't impress me on paper; it looks like a jack of all trades; great for bullying lower tiers but i cant see how it would play well vs tX.

Any views on the 430 and recommendations on how it should be played would be appreciated.

They are terryblyat, wait for WG to buff them, need atleast 10 degrees of gun depression and 0.3 acc.

[edited]OP tbh.

Grinding the 430 II atm and the 430 is certainly a better tank.....by a long shot, in almost every department.

Played 1 game stock with 90% crew in a tier IX 5+10 match and did just fine with 3.3k dmg and 1.5k spot. I hope it doesnt fail against tier X due to bad prem pen.

Obj.430 is awesome, imo. I got it today and I like it very much. Resembles 121.

You could say it's the tier IX version of 121. :)

Awesome stock grind on it, just for fun compare it with the WZ-120 grind. :(

Not so much insane dpm, so you have to be more calculated with it.

It gets a tier 9 gun, stock. The T54 gets a tier 7 one!

I find it be pretty awesome, do you guys think is a keeper ? I don't have yet the T-54 and I plan to keep a T9 soviet Medium tank but not sure which one worth more to keep. I also do pretty good in T-44, so if T-54 keep the same playstyle it will be fine for me.

For me this tank makes alot more fun then the T54..

most of T54 rounds were credit loose .

In Object 430 most of the Games are credit win and more damage per Round. It feels you can keep a game.

Because it's [edited]OP as crap?

There's no question, it's ANOTHER broken tank to pander to the Russian contingent.

I just got my obj430 yesterday. Not many games yet....but it does seem a tad OP. Armour, pen, alpha, crazy camo and fast enough makes a great package. Seems at least 1.5 tiers better than T44.

Just watched a scrub sit on a corner in one and hold up all out T9 heavies.  His back was covered by TDs, so they couldn't rush him.  But they couldn't scratch him either.  It's stupidly, epically overpowered.

You watched a scrub killing total noobs, that does not prove much. It is probably one of better tier 9 tonks, not really OP, but makes other tier 9 soviet meds completely redundant.

I've just finished the 430U grind, and i did the last 250k grind to it while platooned with better players.

The tank is insanely OP, and here is why :

- stock it is almost perfect, you don't even need to get the radio researched with T-44 or 430, i only got that after i finished the grind; tracks offer no advantage beyond having more HP, and making it slightly harder to detrack. Engine upgrade is felt, but not by that much .... and you get top turret and top gun from start

- it has way too much HP for a tank that trades. I was playing in platoon with T-54 (i haven't played that tank yet), and he had 1650 HP on a DPM tank, while i had 1800 on a trade tank

- nobody knows this tank can be overmatched from the front, so there is very little danger of that, most ppl will try to pen the lower plate, which is as strong as the upper plate

- while it is an alpha, trading tank, it actually has more HP, and about the same dpm as E50 (6.19 rnds / minute with 430, 6.25 with E50), with an unbelievable stock grind

- when compared with the WZ-120 grind, this grind is shocking .... you want to go cry in a corner

- and the most shocking bit .... even if you are a bad player, the combination of the above, with the pen you get normal on the gun (238 AP, 270 APCR), makes it relatively easy to be credit positive. Even when playing like a complete muppet (much better player in platoon, tried to emulate), and dying like an idiot with little damage done, i have made 200k creds / 2h session

I did that on cliffs, north spawn, about 1 week ago.

I was late crossing, so our team got murdered by t8's and some t9's. So i found a dip where i could go spot, and trade with them; they couldn't dislodge me even with 2 arties focusing on me. :P

I ended the game with 6k combined damage, 4k spotted alone, because the td's on the hill behind me could see them and place perfect shots into them.

I'm actually going for the T-54 right now, and i saw one in action a lot while platooned with him.

It's basically an enhanced T-44 with worse gun depression, hard stock grind, and which will lose creds a lot, once elited.

To elite the T-54, you also need about 599k xp to grind. :(

I like it quite a bit, but seems like so do quite a few of the unicums. I mean the Ace requirements are just insane.

I had a tier X game where I got 5.7k dmg, 4 kills and 1320 base xp. That was good for II class. :amazed:

I just wonder if the old tier X stats are still affecting the requirements or if the tank is just played by really good players.

No they are not. The old TX still is in the game, hidden. The T9 one is a new one.

~1500 base xp got me a 1st Class.

This tank is defintely one of the better meds in it's tier. I think it's exactly as good as T-54 is. It just requires a little bit different playstyle due to greater alpha, longer reload, and stuff like that.

I haven't figured out yet how, but sometimes I find myself too slow in this tank to have an impact or do damage.

they moved it tier down and barely touched it's armor.

just lowered it's health, removed the 100mm gun and gave it a new 122mm gun.

made it slower

This thing is ridiculous good.

Only 5 games played with stock (so withouth top engine & suspension) and still it's just push W, angle a bit, bounce and tadaa 4k dmg, 2k blocked.

There is no single reason how they justify this easy grind with tier 9 tank.

Just compare it to any other medium and you do not get 230mm pen gun and top turret as stock.

5k dmg match with only 2nd mastery badge tells you everything...

It's good. 5th best Tier IX medium after Patton, AMX 30, Skoda T50 and E 50.
