Don't want to be rude but 3 marking a popular tier 9 tank is outside of your reach

Track stuff, mount optics, don't get caught out on open flanks, be aware of the game being lost so you can slip back and farm some damage.

For most tier 9s you'd need around 4 - 4.5k combined damage to 3 mark them.

I haven't 3 marked that many tanks, but I would guess it's quite basic procedure: Gold, premium consumables, experienced crew and semi-agressive playstyle. And for the crew skills I would take everything you usually need - gun handling skills, sicth sense etc.... Equipment would be rammer, vstab and maybe optics/binocs (imho) because spotting damage counts to marks... If I go for mark I usually play just as I normally would but try to focus on tracking shots and spotting when possible

Do you also want some tips on curing cancer or building a jetpack?

Three marking a tier IX isbeyond the realms for most average pubbies.

However, you need to learn to conserve HP more than anything. To allow more damage later.

Second, every time you see a track wheel, shoot it.

This. Conserve your hp at the start of the game. It is not worth to do 2 or 3 shots of damage if you lose 1000hp for that. If it's 10vs10 you still need to have most of your hitpoints, otherwise you will be targeted and killed or traded shots with.

Pushing view range with optics and detracking enemies (last standing type 4/5 heavy that is surrounded for example) works well too.

Use your map and keep looking at your position: are you doing damage or do you need to push up with your teammates to get some easy shots in? If the flank is falling: retreat. By continuously looking at the map you can see when it's likely that a flank will fall: you are outnumbered or enemy top tiers are rolling over low tiers.

And again: do not die in the early game. Don't be the pinging bot that made a bad play and blames the team. Always look at your own performance and be critical (post game): what could you have done differently to do more damage/assistance, what should you do the next time to prevent the same mistakes happening again? Even on a trash team it is possible to maintain your MoE-%.

You still havn´t managed 2 mark on any tank yet and you want to 3-mark one of the hardest tanks in the game? Ambitious! :)

May I suggest you start by trying to 3-mark some lower tier tanks to get a feel for how its done? Basically you need to farm assist damage while having a good damage output. And most importantly do so consistently over lots and lots of battles. I don´t want to sound condescending but I think you might have to realize that 3-marking a Tier 9 tank might be beyond your abilities and especially the WZ. I can tell you right now that I could never ever 3-mark that tank despite having to 3-marked a quite a number of T6 and T7 tanks. Tier 9 is simply beyond what I can do. Perhaps in the future though...

To put some numbers to it you have to average about 4000 combined to 3-mark the WZ. You are currently doing about half that. Imagine doing double what you are doing for perhaps 50-70 games? Is that something realistic you can do?

Try 3-marking the T34-85 first. Its fairly easy to 3-mark and it will be a good learning experience. And don´t listen to the people saying you need excellent crews, food and massive gold spam to 3-mark a tank. You don´t but it makes it easier to push those last few percent.

Good luck!

Three marking a tier 9 is a noble goal! It's beyond my skills, but that doesn't keep me from trying  :)

Focus not only on doing damage, but getting spotting/assist damage. Even a heavy tank can spot for team,. but staying hull down helps a lot.

For the first two ranks, or at least the first, just try to play a bit more carefully and don't yolo or do stupid (but funny things). For the third, spam premammo and use your entire team as your meatshields at the start of the match.

Yes, those marks add many good things to the game.

try to survive as long as possible doing as much damage as you can.

tbh marking tanks is not for me since I can't play the same tank more than few battles. credit to people who actually do it.

Easy.

Aim for 4-4,5k combined assist and damage per game.

How to reach those numbers?

You have to be kind of focused, improve your bad games to at least 2,5k combined.

Then use the regular setup of

Rammer - V-stab - optics/vents.

Have a decent crew.

6:th sense - BIA - repair

Repair - BIA - gun handling/view range on rest.

Enough premium rounds to be able to shoot through Type 5, Maus and other heavily armoured targets, 10 should be enough.

Does this statement come from your own vast experience with 3-marking tanks?

Its complete BS obviously but somehow I get a feeling there is not point in arguing with you.

When I got the idea of three marking a tank I started low on the Pz.4H, simply to see if I was actually able to three-mark anything. Now that I´ve done that, I came to the conclusion that three marking is not really worth the bother for me. I´m already pretty content with having two-marked the T-10.

there is no point arguing with this donut. just take everything he says with a pinch of salt. I mean he literally lives in the forums and is utter useless other than saying irrelevant crap 100% of the times.
