I've rebought some tier 5-6 tanks in past ~ 6 months and it seems MoE requirements have dropped quite a bit since I last played them. Latest was Soviet T-34 that I last played maybe around 2 years ago. First game brought me from somehere under 65% to 72.68% and instant first mark.

But what happened, how can it drop so much? That very T-34 had like ~990 WN8 and I don't think it's effectiviness for the tier has changed by much. There were red players back then as well (me included).

I think there are just more bad players around, more to come with 1.0

Depends on what tank you play and how popular they are. I went from 84% to 99.90% in one game with the Chaffee doing 700 damage and 300 assist, because no one plays it anymore. And it's mostly played by tomatoes. T-34 is not as popular as it once was with the current meta and new tier 5 additions over the years. And if only bad players play them. It's usually way easier to jump after a long break from them.

I can understand it. I'm grinding the T49 and the Chaffee (where I'm at the moment) is probably the worst LT I ever played. Really? 92 pen with 0.43 accuracy? What should I do with it? Bleed on them!? :teethhappy:

On topic, that's a common phenomenon. I know of people getting 3MoE with 0damage battle on powercrept tanks or thanks that recieved changes.

T-34 leads to the most grinded meds (140 and 430U) so it may now attract more player, reducing the requirements for MoE.

I think the new MM is a reason.
When you are bottom tiered in like 40% of your battles and mid tiered in 40% and same tiered in 15%, players find it way harder to do damage and assist then it was before when you saw T3 tanks in 1/3 of your games.

Thus, players, on average, do less damage, which lowers the requirement to get 3 marks.

Although there is now more hp to harvest at tier 5... but yeah grinding is more painful now and new players can't probably make as much damage anymore.

Yes there is more hp per battle.

But if you check your post battle results, y out will find out that it is very common that 1 to 3 players (often top tiered tanks) do like 50%+ of all the damage in the battle.

I think the way the new matchmaking works is really unrewarding for lower tier tanks. Most of the time you're a bottom tier bag of [edited] and can't do much and when you finally get a "real" top tier game, there just isn't damage to farm.

I've noticed this is a problem when I play my AMX 13 57 GF. Tier 7 is the first tier in which tanks begin to have decent health pools. Most games I face a bunch of tier 8-9 tanks and have to play very carefully and when I get lucky enough to roll a top tier game there are max. 3 tanks that have lots of health while the tier 5-6 tanks have only a few hundreds. Most of the time even when you have a great game it's hard to do more than 2.5k damage. The "best" matchmaking for AMX 13 57 is actually full tier 7.

I suspect tier 5 tanks suffer from this even more.

It has dropped a lot.

I think its because of the new MM. Lower HP in battles and bad/mediocre players have a hard time being bottom tier all the time. So damage has dropped especially on lower and mid tiers.

doubt so, 3-5-7 is the actual culprit making every non T9&T10 significant more difficult to play.

The only thing that is bad about 3-5-7 is when one team gets good players while the other one gets all the muppets in their top tiers.

What's also bad is especially when you are in a +2 tier situation as bottom tier is that many top tier tanks just dominate the low tiers without them being able to do anything about it. The gap between tiers above tier 7 is just too huge. From what i have been playing so far and what many players observe gameplay is only bad from tier 8 and above. They should have balanced tier 9 and 10 closer to tier 8.

The requirements haven't changed. The overall quality of players currently (last 14 days} playing the tank you want to mark may have changed. You still have to be better than 65% of the players playing that tank over that 14 day period. If good players are playing it, then it is harder, if bad players then it is easier.

Managed to get a mark on my KV-1 without realising it. Got it from a defeat even. Nice surprise.

The 3-5-7 mm seems to explain it pretty well. No wonder why grinding modules is such pain nowadays either.
