Arty Arc Plotter - by Alephus

Have you ever wondered how is the arc of a certain arty? why was it able to hit you when you had a mountain covering your tank? maybe you wish to compare diferent artys to see wich is best in a city map, or in a clan war.

Well look no further. I introduce you to the Arty Arc Plotter, a tool created by me to help players who seek information about artillery shell trajectory. Its a simple excel worksheet on wich you choose the artys and guns you wish to compared.

You can find the all the versions of this project in its dropbox folder:

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/fi3btq7yqea4qbs/AAB1wzwKmCV1D4wnr5MpluEja?dl=0

(Sadly, to be able to use it, one must download it or copy it to his own dropbox folder, otherwise anyone would be able to modify it or delete it)

I hope this tool becomes useful to the comunity. Any feedback is welcome

-Before you use, you must either download or copy to your dropbox.

-First, select up to 4 diferent artys to compare arcs from the dropdown boxes

-Then, select wich guns each arty is using from the boxes below each arty

-After, use the sliders to choose an angle of fire for that arty. If the angle you trying to select is too high for that arty, then its gonna stop at thw maximum angle that arty can use, also, even if the arty can go above 45º, the game wont use those angles, so they will be marked red

-finally warch the graph. Each arty has its own color so you can distinguish

The instructions are also included in the file itself

Should this work with Open Office? I have downloaded it and it opens ok, but when I try and select a gun for the vehicle chosen all I'm getting is #value.

this uses VBA (visual basic) so, sadly, i dont think it works with openoffice very well. BUT, in your case, i could try to make a openoffice version.

Yes please, that would be great, I'm an enthusiastic arty player! But, before you do, I also have a disk of my original Office 97 that I could put on, would that help, and save you the trouble?

edit: hold fire I'm loading 97 on and will try it.

edit2: it's even worse in exel 97 lol!

I think it would since VBA started in 1993, and yes it would help me. However, if you dont mind downloading from the Internet, a more recent version would be better. If your machine Isnt Very strong, i can garantee that office 2003 works. NOTE: i do not aprove of piracy, however I think there is a point where old software should be considered legacy and should be free for users.

http://www.kingsofts...eadsheets.html  is a free software that will allow this program to run.  I installed it and it works perfectly with this plotter.  But, as with all free software, use at your own risk.  My anti-virus (Avira Pro) didnt give any warnings etc.
