Hey,

Whats up with that minimap function where you can draw arrows on the minimap? Is it something WG is still testing because it seems to be on/off - sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Or am I having somekind of bug because right now I think it has been over a month when I was able to do that last time. Right now I can just ping the map like usual.

It's a great function, would like to use it all the time.

WG, here's a free idea for you; two different coloured arrows (LMB and RMB) where the other would indicate directions of movement and other firing lanes.

Isnt that an XVM feature that only you can see?

Isnt that a Mod thing that allows you to do that?..... It would be an interesting idea for them to add that as a feature in game but then, i get the image of people drawing silly things on the map instead of actually helping so i guess that would be a 50/50 chance :/

It is an XVM feature, you can see it when other people draw it on the map with the mod alone, however to draw yourself you have to enable it on the XVM site.

Knowing this community there would be lots of squiggles and wangs. Many many wangs.

Ahh okay thanks for the info! I've had QuickyBabys modpack installed, but those micropatches mess it up so often I can't bother to be downoading the latest version all the time.

So only XVM users can see those arrows? Many ppl use those arrows and I'd say that 80% of them make sense, 19 % are just doodles and only once I've seen someone drawing sketches of male genitalia. Definetly a feature I would like to see in vanille client but would require proper cooling down times or limit for sketches/game and a working reporting system and bans from using the system for a while...

I think you need XMQP enabled in XVM options.  Also lets you see if your team mates get spotted (if they have sixth sense & have XMQP enabled).

Actually I do believe that the XMQP is only required to be able to draw, but that all there have XVM installed can see it.

Bloody hell, thought it was a client feature.

How disappointing.

Most people do not appear to use minimap anyway so a few arrows will not make a difference...

One can only find out if it was put into the game completely though, as it is now you can only coordinate with a few players.

Again, if people can not read a minimap in its current state (enemy tank positions/ gun advantage on current flank yes/no) a few arrows , probably drawn by people without a clue anyway, will not make a difference.

It's not like most maps are hard to coordinate anyway, but it might have some purpose for platoons and for organized play if the FC is lazy and/or incomprehensible.

Not hard to cordinate but there are players who really dont know what to do, are focused somewhere else or just dont see the situations same way as someone else... So I find the arrows on map help because they are way more informative than just pinging squares.
