Hello everyone.

I was considering buying the t25 pilot, does any one of you have experience in this tank?

Is it considered a good US prem?

I have the Patton Korea and I am pretty dissapointed from its performance.

Thnx

DO NOT BUY IT! :)

If you think the KR is bad, then you'll hate the pilot too. The alpha, pen and shell velocity in the current tier 8 MM just doesn't work. The most useless reward tank WG introduced.

Edit: later this month there will be a new tier 8 premium (probably the Caernarvon AX) so why not wait and save some money.

it's very average but not worth the price tag, would be better off getting the T-54 mod 1 but then even that isn't great thanks to the enormous power creep.

the T25 is your bog standard support medium that is average at everything it does. don't rely on the turret armour too much and shell velocity is sub-par.

Very similar to the Patton Kr, so if you don't like one you're unlikely to like the other.

I have it from the marathon. If you have the Patton KR you don`t need this one. They are pretty much the same.

If you want another crew trainer, then maybe get Thunderbolt. If you want the Pilot ... well ... you will have another KR Patton in garage with different skin. :)

Thank you gentlemen.

Is it a bit on the cheap side, aint it?

Was considering buying the t44-100, (dont have a soviet med trainer apart from the t34-85M) but was it worth like 44 euros?

And Pilot costs only 28 euros?

Am I wrong anywhere, mean both are t8 meds? How come the huge price gap?

Was considering the Thunderbolt once, liked the skin and the "special" commander but I already have the Fury so...

And @lord_chipmonk

Found the gun really weak on the Korea, apart from too bad in game dispersion, when it did hit, it rarely penetrated.

And armor doesnt hold much, I ve heard the Pilot's turret front is quite bouncier.

Cheers both

Here's the announcement...

It doesn't confirm if it's the AX or not but most likely it is and here's a recent review of the tank's stats...

WG buffed the T-44 and T-54 mod 1 not too long ago. They might have buffed the 44-100 too? Honestly though, WG's premium pricing policy doesn't make too much sense.

The Thunderbolt is a bit more like a Jumbo. Not as mobile as the Fury, but better armour. Kinda like a tier 6 Super Pershing.

The guns are pretty much the same. As for the armour, there are small differences (Patton has stronger hull for example) but honestly these armour differences make no practical difference. In either case, you can't rely on the armour. To be honest, the tier 8 mediums, premium or not, are a pretty underwhelming bunch.

If you want a tier 8 prem with more reliable (if situational) armour and a punchier gun, the Centurion I and Primo Victoria (Strv. 81) would be an option.

Yes, I have the Primo Victoria and I am pretty happy with it.

Have grinded the Centurion 1 some time ago, could be years, but it was a good tank, which I ve heard, has gotten even better

All 3 got a new engine, and I think t-44-100 got a buff in gun handling in 9.22.

This.  There's really no reason to get one if you have the other.  If you want crew training then wait for the Thunderbolt or Furry to come up.

Because that's what it cost to skip all the missions to get the T-44-100.  They don't want people to realise they paid too much for it so they sell it at that price.

I'd consider both the T-44-100 and the T25 Pilot worth doing the original grind missions that gave them for free, the T-44-100 far more so than the T25.

For real world money I'd find them both far less interesting. Both of them are too similar to existing tech tree tanks. I doubt you'd need them for the extra credits or crew training. The T25 is more mobile than the Patton Korea and it's gun handling and reload is better too. I'm sure you'd like it a lot more than the Patton. But in my opinion, the improvements alone aren't enough to make the Pilot desirable.

The t44 100 did get buffed twice its now imo the best t8 med prem. Its basically the t54lwt with a more accurate gun.
