This is beginning to annoy me, I have been around 87% to 92% for the past 4 days on my patriot. I have been having good performances but the teams have been horrific driving my mark into the ground, I have also found arty focusing me more. I just want to get my 13th 3 mark over and done with. Any others been suffering recently?

No it's more or less the norm chain of thought when grinding MOE's since they arrived. Tho MOE is not affected by loss. So go for track shots so you farm that to incase you get steam rolled fast with half the damage needed.

I know loss doesn't affect it but the team crumbling in 2 mins losing 3-15 in like 4 or 5 mins leaves little time to get the combined i need even if this is as low as 2700 it is especially difficult at T8 with all the 3-5-7 games bottom tier

Welcome to number 1 fact of marking tanks,

''When you get close enough, you lost more % than you gain...''

When you get close to 95% you can expect a nice string of failteams, always happens.

Just try not to focus on those "marks" too much...

Play the game and maybe one day you will get your last "mark".

Well you have to believe that it's the same situations, poor teams and unfavorable maps for the players that are getting their tanks marked too. The only difference is they are finding a way to get in a few more shots and assist than you, that's all there is to it. There isn't any other explanation than that, same tank, same teams more or less and same maps. At the start of every battle there is a Pools and an Ace round before you, you just got to go and get it. Simple as that? good God no, but that's why getting there feels good.

Edit- Damage limitation when things are going wrong, bad teams and less preferable maps I think is key. We can all get in a huge win and feel great but for marks it seems more important to preserve and keep a minimum "damage limitation" during those rough battles in between. You won't get there if you have a few magnificent +2% gained battles if you are slowly bleeding more % in the battles between when things aren't ideal. I'm sure you'll get there anyway :)

You probably just notice it more but believe me when i say there were as many bad players there as before.

Teams are always bad, it's just you noticing it more since you get closer to the 3rd mark. On a sidenote, that's the main reason marking tanks is hard, you have to adapt and embrace the chaos that is a random game.

You can get lucky and get a streak of good maps/matchups and 3 mark a tank in 10 battles from 90% and at the same time you can get unlucky and it takes you 50 to do so

Stop. take a break and leave it for a few days.

Whilst marking overall everyone has to deal with crappy teams, bad maps etc. in the short term you can get really unlucky with maps and teams that just destroy your marks progress.

Generally if I am trying to mark a tank if i have 2-3 bad games and lose percentages I stop and leave that tank as continuing, probably at tilt, is not going to help, next time you come back you might get a better run and be able to push the percentage up. Sometimes you can just get a on a roll, I've gone through then 90s on a few tanks in about 5-6 games just stringing some really good games together where everything seems to click, but conversely you can get it the other way and you just get a run of bad maps and bad teams.

Was doing the Even-90 the other day and was pretty much rotating through Himmelsdorf, Ensk, Abbey, Stalingrad and Kharkov, so I just gave up there, no point continuing.

usualy only problem in slow tanks without and/or without turret. In decent tanks bad teams are often advantage for marks as you can disregard winning from start and just focus on farm

Thats why i dont play for marks and just let it come naturally, without even trying..... I prefer Aces over MoE as its easier and less likely to be frustrating and not lose the fun or enjoyment of the game in the process

We humans are quite entitled creatures. We tend to think that when we get 3-4 lucky games in a row and go from 90% to 94% that we fully deserved it but as soon as we get a little bit of bad luck. You can get unlucky and it seems like you always get an unplayable battle when you're at 93-94% but this is just an extended period of bad luck and if you play well enough you will eventually get the marks. If you "keep getting unlucky" forever the reality is that you're just not playing well enough and need to work on your game.

T92 was a tricky tank for me. I did get plenty of bad luck when I was close in marks. It didn't help that light tanks were my weakest point until recently and that I actually try to play well when I 3-mark tanks. It was at times painful to see a player who had 1.1k damage per game and 53% win rate have 3 stars on his gun barrel because he had gone full assist padding mode at the expense of good playing.

While learning the LT gameplay I also wasn't opposed to asking for help. I saw brumbarr was doing well with the tank and asked him for replays that he kindly provided. They proved highly useful and sped up my light tank learning process quite a bit. This is the type of stuff you can do to help your marks instead of only hoping to get a lucky streak. There's no shame in asking for help from better players.

I've also seen many players freeze at high percentages when they try to outsmart themselves. Done it in a few occasions myself. If your way of playing has taken you up to 94% then it's just stupid to "go all in" and hope to get the perfect battle. Just keep doing what you were doing before and do it a little bit better and you'll get there. If you can't seem to mark the tanks the best way to change that is to simply get better at playing the tank. It may sound obvious but by performing better you become less reliant in the good streak "that you deserve". It's much easier to 3-mark a tank if you're consistently hovering at around 92% and only need a relatively small bump in the performance, than if you're a guy hovering around 87% who is waiting to get a lucky streak of battles.
