Primary: Stun enemy vehicles for at least 200 seconds in total. Allies must destroy at least 3 enemy vehicles stunned or immobilized by you.

Secondary: Win the battle

 

So, after over 1k battles ONLY with arties tier 8-9-10 i came to the conclusion that this mission is beyond impossible. Here are the problems based on tier:

 

1. Tier 8

  • pros: Faster ROF / More HP when landing tier 10 MM / lower dmg so its easier only to splash and not kill
  • cons: tier 6-8 mm makes it impossible to splash so much untill round is over / lower stun duration

2. Tier 10

  • pros: bigger radius / best hp in round when landing tier full 10 mm (best chance)
  • cons: Slower ROF / Having alpha damage so big its hard to not kill light/meds with splash when trying only to stun

 

Biggest problems all around:

- if you go for the 1st primary condition to ONLY stun for 200 s then you will almost never do the "Allies must destroy at least 3 enemy vehicles stunned or immobilized by you". Assisting your team with stunning enemy makes you receive only 1 of the 2 primary requirements. Let me make it clear:

  • if you stun them so they can be killed by allies you dont get the stun
  • if you shoot tanks not in range of allied tanks you get the stun (maybe) but no chance of getting the assisting in destroying.

- EVERYONE repairs stun. this leads to situations like this:

  • if you stun them so they can be killed by allies and they repair: you dont get the stun AND you dont get the assist
  • if you shoot tanks not in range of allied tanks you get the stun for 1-2-3 seconds, while on ~35s reload
  • if you shoot the same tank you need at least 1 minute to be sure that you get at least the 20s stun (first shot 30-35 s - enemy repairs, 2nd shot kit is not ready to repair again)

 

So in the best scenario you get this:

- playing tier 8 against a lot of tier 10 and no one pushes and the mm is fair based on setup and/or skill and you get open map and you dont miss (im pretty sure its safe to say that NEVER happens)

Worst scenario:

- every battle so far

 

I have the obj 260 2 years now but i wanted to complete with honors as a personal challenge, but its getting absolute boring to not even stand a chance.

 

p.s. while trying to complete the mission you dont even play the round as you should. you stun/splash targets that are not in range to hope to get the 20-25 s stun, you dont do shots on tanks with low hp, you dont basically aim at tanks, just at spots of lands next to them. now that really really wrong. in this manner you not only destroy the gameplay intended but ruin everyone elses round. if that is the case just say so, or raise the 200 s to 5000 s so we dont try it anymore.

dude i feel your pain although i've only TD-15 and two easy ish Heavy missions to get with honours and it's annoying now. even started the 268 v4 line just because

Drop shells on clusters of heavies, thats how I did it. For example the southern road on Arctic region, The 3 kills is beyond your control.

Though I did it with the GWT. I also have the obj and found it not very good for this type of mission.

Well im not an arty player. In fact my arty battles are almost non existent and im average at best playing them and i can tell you this mission is VERY possible at least without secondary which is luck depandant.

 

Play a tier 9 arty with the best ROF with foods and go for stuns ignoring dmg. WHEN YOU SEE 2 or 3 enemies close together aim for that.

 

Be on the lookout for swarm of enemies at all times.

 

Some maps will grant you the luxury of 3 ,4 or 5 enemies sitting next to each other fapping on a ridge or corner.

 

Russian arty 212A is ideal for the mission with a crazy ROF.

Don't try to damage tanks, go for dropping shells in the middle of clusters and you'll do this one easy.

I'm sure if you stun a tank and they use a medkit the full stun duration still counts toward your total.  Same if they die.

 

But yes it does promote not playing for the win, you want to splash but not damage and splash tanks which you team does not need any help with because they are about to die anyway.

I completed this not long ago, used tier x arty (GWE100 or CGC unsure which) with a few premium shells on one of the grand battles maps.

I see tier 8-9-10 arties doing 200+ seconds of stun nearly every day, which is not the entire mission but still it's a doable mission i think. Maybe we can can arrange something :trollface:

i dont think the stun counts if they repair and/or die. can anyone confirm this?

 

as for all the other replies: you are suggesting things i've already done. i would like to see some prints with arties doing 200 s all day.

incredible. 13 hits = 250s . 19s/average. so basically on every shot you stunned someone who didnt use a repair kit. minimum. what a joke, where is this enemy team? that stays together and dont repair?

Trick with that one, as some have pointed out already, is to drop shells into groups of tanks & not kill them.  Some maps create groups & you can get 3 or 4 with one shell.

I just have the final SPG 15.4 to go now which I think will just be a case of playing until I get the right map & matchup.

El Halluf is a good map, you usually get a mass of tanks all fighting on that top corner so you can just loop shells in and hit 3-4 at a time. Soon adds up.

New set personal missions in October - WG announced it last week(?).  I'd imagine (hope) you can do set 2 without completing the first set though.  Best get arty missions done before HD version lands with super visible arty tracer shells though - arty will have to spend all it's time relocating in HD.
