As a CDC, with stock turret and the long 88.

And come to terms with it, because stock t50 is worse, only on t9, where you get to be top tier more often, and thus get reduced XP, while having a much longer grind.

Easy, ignore all enemies and go hunting defenders

This!

Just remember that main role of the TPU VTU is to hunt & kill enemy teams Defenders and when that is done, you can seek & destroy enemy MAUSes and Japanese superheavies.

Kept hearing this when i was struggling with it. Later got a CDC and found out that it's way better than TVP. The TVP is slower, lower gun depression and it's way taller.

And i didn't get the turret thing as the top one gets you better reload, better depression and better view range too while the only drawback i saw was the weight but has too little of impact on mobility to matter.

It's crap but the Skoda's are worth it.

Top turret better? Depends on how you look at it.

The left one is with the stuck turret and the second 88 gun. The middle one is with the top turret and the second 88 gun. The right one is with the top turret and top gun.

Left vs middle, left has 10m less view range, 89 less dpm, 100 less HP, 2 more gun depression, almost a ton more power to weight. The idea about comparing it to the CDC is simply the gun depression aspect. Use the ridge lines and bully. It's not about the mobility aspect. -2 might not sound like much, but it will allow you do deal more "safer" damage on most locations, vs exposing your self more with -6 as you have do drive further up for that 89 more extra dpm you never get to use anyway, and take more hits your armor won't bounce. And with the top gun and turret the DPM is terrible still. The 100mm is worthless as you get less pen and dpm vs even the 88.

I played it with the stock turret and 88. And it made the grind bearable on most maps vs 100% useless.

That's just making WG win. You grind it out of principle.

I think I had more luck with the top turret and the larger gun. Easier to play peekaboo and trade with the bigger alpha.

On open maps, staying out side the enemy view range is key.

I didn't get on with the stock turret, despite the better gun depression, it just tempts you into exposing yourself.

For me it was the other way around. As you can't even out dpm any tier 8, or some lower tier med with the top gun. If you are alone they will get in your face and DPM you down. Then that alpha makes less sense.

But in most cases, regardless of what setup you use. Out of sight, of of mind is the the way to go regardless. It can't even carry as top tier at times.

Lots and lots of alcohol helped me. Also the fact that my friend already had the Skoda T50 and I continually saw how good it was when platooning helped me keep my focus on the goal, at least when I wasn't too drunk to focus at anything:bajan:

Well this trick helps in every problem in WOT, makes games and grinds much more fun (thou might slow them down a bit)...

Sad thing is that the Stock Skoda T50 is almost worse. That was a terrible grind.

Tier 9 is what free XP is for.

There is a Legend, that if you shoot a Type 5 with the TVP, it will always die by ammorack explosion.

The 105 with the top turret (more DPM and viewrange) is much better than the 88. Alpha is king. Anyone using the 88 with the stock turret is crippling themselves.

Also, this tank eats Defenders for breakfast or so I've heard. L2p.

Am I the only one that really enjoyed the TVP VTU? Indeed, I`ve grind it a while back, when Defenders where not in the game, but still... the tank was far from being a sh#t one. If I had to point to a really sh#t tank on that line is te T 34/100... Utter crap!

Oh yes, went all the way with it. Gosh I am so thrilled I got to stick it to Wargaming... And yet still don't feel as if I won anything with it. Principles suck. Still better than a complete stock E-50 grind with the 8.8 cm KwK 43 L/71 though, before the L/100 was added to the Panther II. But principles would have prevented me from using that ridiculous tube anyway. Again, principles suck.

Tried both stock turret + 8.8 cm and top turret + 10.5 cm. The latter definitely is the way to go.
