I'm pretty sure this isn't how arty was supposed to work.

They want the easy damage,

like everyone else.

2 tier 10s and me in a tier 8 heavy, all spotted,

guess who was derped and stunned and tracked and lost a crew member, by a 155 58.

Arty shooting light tanks is a normal tactical decision. How do you intend to fix that?

And how often did you get "snapshot" at close range? And how often did you get killed by the hit, like it used to be?

Working as intended IMHO.

Early in battle lights are the biggest threat to arty so yes I will initially focus on them.

The best shot of any game for me is to anticipate a fast moving scout and take them out, it both removes a threat, and allows our teams scouts to operate on the front line easier. It's not easy to do, and is not good for damage totals, but is good for the team and very rewarding when I can pull it off.

 

As for close range, are we to passively sit there and await the garage? No chance! Only the other day myself in the AMX13 F3 and a M44 combined to both ram, and surprise an elc 90 that was spotting us (v, close in a hollow) and destroy him, what larks!  :medal:

thats why arty should just see that there is an enemy tank there but not see name/type/hp left. Too easy to seal club lower tiers.

That was to expect, buffing gunhandling but lowering alpha damage had to result in this bullcrap. Now arties have it easier to hit scouts and do lots of damage, kill crew and make them useless when stuned but they do almost no damage to heavies. I don't know what WG expected but i would say they expected nothing morons usually just react to errors but can't forsee them.
