Its only somewhat enjoyable after you get to the last rank because there is no more pressure to not lose a chevron, before rank 15 its horrible torture.

It was better than both beta seasons, but it goes a bit too far to call it fun ...

Played, like, 10 battles. Got rank 5 or something and got bored to death by ranked. Called it a quit.

Meta and game play (well how players play in this game mod) are crap. Partly because of how the XP distribution works i think. Partly because of how chevrons are granted.

What's worst is that i've saw the ranked crappy meta bleeding into Random battles, mostly on EU1. Eeks

Played just a few battles, there were 2 tier X skysh!ts per team every battle, sucking out all the fun from the game, so i quit playing the mode and that's that. If it was arty free, it might have been sort of fun.

Shortly, its a faliure.

No any  significance, while dreaining credits , and they motivate people by rewarding us 50 000 credits  for 7 victories, to compensate for 500 000 credits that average players losts on ammunition  in those battles to get this "reward".

In my eyes people who desigh this ranked battles need advice what motivation means.

btw  bonds are also by this a faliure.

51,000 players have got a rank so it looks like the rewards were sufficient to entice players away from randoms.

much better, especially higher tiers

reason, virtually no arty, shows how good game could be if WG cared about their game

few   battles is enough to get a rank, after 3rd rank it becames in my eyes ridiculously booring, repetitive, and in my case to demanding .(one step back 2 forward, 2 step back one forward...its like a drunk man walking home on the moonlight)..to get ..a next 100 bonds and next manual fire extinguisher.. which worths..like, almost nothing?

I made a profit, and that's before credit boosters are considered

Nah. Even if we ignore the maps, broken tanks, the relative lack of tank diversity and the gold spam, it's a game mode that rewards exploiting the XP system more than anything. I tried a few games in TDs and LTs. Worked out allright, but obviously hard work.

Then I realized that I should actually try hard:

1) Pick Maus

2) Go to designated brawling corner.

3) Sidescrape. Peek when the enemy shoots (your teammates).

4) Shield/block your teammates - you want to keep your allies intact and not pushing.

5) Rinse and repeat.

6) Reap the rewards of gaming the XP system and not really playing the game.

Worked well, but it's not very fun to be rewarded for gaming the system more than anything else.

Didn’t know what to expect and took my GW E100 to battle. Had to level up that crew to 5th skill anyway.

First ranks till about 5 are horrible because all muppets are lurking around there, not being able to proceed further. From ranks 6 to about 12 it was interesting to be part of tactics on certain maps I’ve rarely seen before. After rank 12 horrible again because about all tactics are based on lemming alike overwhelming one flank to get about 2 kills in advantage and then running across the left overs at the other flank.

Did anyone notice that getting the last chevron before a new rank almost always leads to being put in idiot teams and/or useless maps battle after battle and dropping down at least 3 chevrons?

Anyway, I did my job as arty for my team, dealing with side scraping Type 5’s or dug in Obj 268 4’s or in general preparing easy damage or kills for the others. Finished at 17 points and in league 1.

But with arty there is not much influence on the battle, I expect to reach rank 15 in lesser time with other tank classes. Not sure if I would invest that time and subsequent annoyance again...

I played GW E100 for a few battles (only tier10 arty i have so no choice). Good thing about playing arty is that instead of losing creds, in general a win will make you credits. But when a team is just too efficient i found out i didn't make top10 enough to be worth it.

That's right. A shot every 31 seconds doesn't guarantee a place in top 10 of winning team or top 5 of losing team. So progressing through the ranks with arty is a slow procedure. Unless there is a camping enemy team and your shots wreck a stifly held flank.

All tier 10 games are not fun because the tier 10 meta is terrible right now, add in the people who 'play for Chevron' that you get in ranked and the fact that tank variety drops compared to randoms because everyone uses the strongest/most broken/most OP tanks then the fun factor compared to randoms is a lot lower.
