Hi tankers,

There's a portuguese armoured car developed and manufactured in Portugal.
The VBTP Chaimite was a light armored vehicle of 4x4 traction transport.

The project began to be developed in the late 1960's and have been used till this days.

Chaimite was developed as a base family with several versions.
They were developed from the simple version of transport to the antiaircraft version. Of the projected versions, the majority did not leave the prototype. Later, Bravia designed the Chaimites Mk II and Mk III, respectively versions of six and eight wheels that were never produced.

There were several versions and the ones we need to pay attention are V-300/V-400/V-600 and V-700.
Version Function Comments
V-200 transport of personnel Basic version of troop transport. A subvariant, in service in the Portuguese Marines was the Armada 60, with a multiple rocket launcher of 60 mm.
V-300 lightweight fire support Version capable of supporting armed towers with reduced gauges, including anti-aircraft guns. Bravia has developed for this version a tower with a 20 mm cannon and a 7.62 mm machine gun.
V-400 heavy fire support Version capable of supporting towers armed with weapons of high caliber, namely of 90 mm. For this version was successfully tried the tower of the French-Swiss French armored Lynx 90.
V-500 command and communications
V-600 mortar shell Version fitted with a 81 mm mortar or a 120 mm mortar.
V-700 anti-missile launcher Version equipped with a double SS-10 Swingfire anti-missile launcher operated by the Portuguese Army in the 80's. Alternatively it could be equipped with a HOT launcher.
V-800 ambulance
V-900 recovery Version of distressed vehicles.
V-1000 riot gear Version intended for the security forces, equipped with a water cannon and anti-bark board.

What you think about creating a "special" tech tree for Portuguese SPG's? :justwait:

Don't be an "arty hater"!

Plus, there's space in the game for a premium SPG's at tier VIII, why not a Portuguese SPG?

  • V-700: anti-tank with Swingfire is a good option.

I'm leaving this for discussion and hopefully you will agree that this can be added to the game.

Vote and.... Good battles to everyone.

Best regards,

Sry, i [edited]hate artillery and more of them will just make the game even worse currently. If they remove stun or something so it isn't that annoying anymore then i am down for it and would be positive about a new spg tech tree or premium artillery

Discussion on SPG this includes the supertest server that was released late 2019 with armour piercing returning with a 70% decrease on damage. As for HE the standard had stun effect with less damage and special shells had more damage with no stun effect.
