Came down with the flu almost 2 weeks ago, and still not well. And it really amazes me how much having even a slight fever affects my game play. Decisions are harder to make, takes longer time, and are in more cases than usual of the "wrong" kind. Also games do not get that nice fluent feeling to them and my general stats just seems off. A general feeling of "eh, what to do now?" affects my entire game experience atm.

Anybody else had the same experience?

Yeah for sure, I'm also like that when I don't have the flu though.

Agreed, though I can play through a cold or the flu, I do get ill often and it does affect my gameplay and thus stats.

During this time I usually watch one of the streamers.

I wish there was PvE for this, but that's a long debate in itself.

Play for your daily doubles and see how it goes, if you don't feel well enough just don't play...

Also stuck with the flu...played a lot yesterday since I was home. Played very badly to say the least... Sub 50% WR and wn8 almost 1k lower than I usually do.

To be honest, playing arty can be ok, you can still "perform" ... but other tanks while sick? ... doomed to fail.

Yep, and I find it the same just after a good blast of exercise when I’m dehydrated, you just make the wrong/slower decisions - light tanks are the worst , as cuz said arty is one option ( not much experience myself ) and also t5 or t6 heavies ? Just go to heavy corner and brawl, this does not require too much brain activity

p.s.  Give  yourself a fighting chance and get some sleep - tiredness, for all the reasons above

Not often sick but often tired. What is worse with tiredness is that you perform badly AND hardly realize it.

But you think poorly and perform badly ...

I'm sick AND tired. I dont sleep much. Tonight, after work, i really should sleep well so that i can play bit better on weekend.

So you can imagine how i play...

And the anger... that one is so hard to control.

I work on the principle that if wake up in the morning and are able to self pollute then you are not ill, so get to work.

Good to see that I am not the only one. Stat vise playing atm just sucks. Same thing goes for fun factor, actually. It just is not fun when you see and feel that you are dumbed down compared to how you usually perform. I am dumbed down right now, that is for sure. Slow reactions, bad decisions, no tactical overview. Mistake after mistake.

And nope, it is not a "man flu". Wish it was.

Yes, that's biology for you. It's actually very reasonable as to why you are dumbed down.

Yeah, been down with something since Saturday.

Tried to overcome the boredom but one game was my limit.

Obviously I didn't push myself hard, so was kicking seal pups...

I mean, that result looks great but if you actually watch the replay?

I completely screw up my initial ambush, get distracted by a vehicle who wasn't really a threat at that time, stay auto-aimed on that tank while it was half a map away, way off to the side and behind terrain when trying to brawl with an enemy heavy tank...

I was lucky to survive that and probably played overcautiously the rest of the battle.

Of course being ill and tired affects gameplay, it affects everything really. If it didn't you would therefore have no reason not to stay at work and perform your tasks but you can't and the reason for that is you need rest, sleep, drink plenty of fluids and to chill out when awake. Playing a game that requires high levels concentration and raises your stress levels is a really bad idea, you won't play as good as you can and that mental demand and stress is only elongating the duration of that illness and perhaps making it worse along with put yourself in a negative and angry state of mind. Our brain uses the most energy and is a very demanding organ on fuel and oxygen, massively more so when we work it hard, this obviously isn't going to help you get better.

Even though you might be bored and looking to do something, rest and relaxation is very important for us, not just when we are sick but just everyday when we start to fade a little or have had a busy day. You shouldn't really play this game even if your just tired as this will also affect your performance(if you care about such things)) and also lead to you actually getting sick in the first place. When the brain wants no further part in a demanding task, it's best to obey... I haven't played for days, and reason is I'm feeling tired after work this week, and so, I know if I play WoT I will play poor, be short tempered and so will just not enjoy myself... so I don't play, and instead I kick back and relax.
