Hi

We are trying to grind some boxes (and have fun) in tier 6 skirmish.

If we had a 50% win rate, does it make financial sense to use an airstike & transport in each game?

Or is the cost of production vs gain not worth it at this level?

(my brain is hurting just thinking of the maths)

Any other newbie tips greatly appreciated :)

depends on whether the game is lost or won really. If you use them on a loss you tend to make a loss if on a win you tend to make a profit. If you aren't hitting over 50% wins in skirmish don't use the transport. If you are winning and you haven't used the airstrike yet use it even if you don't hit something to increase the game profit. I would also suggest using artillery rather than airstrike in T6 skirmish because of the longer delay in arrival. In T6 tanks are often more mobile meaning you tend to miss more with airstrike.

Hi lotusblossom, thanks for your reply.

Been keeping my eye on it, have I got the following right?

Lvl 5 Transport

on a win  - transport gives us 40 extra boxes at a cost of 40 boxes to make

on a loss - it costs us 40 boxes

Lvl 6 Artillery

on a win  - artillery gives us 47 boxes at a cost of 45 boxes

on a loss - it costs us 45 boxes

Is there a hidden benefit I'm not seeing?

Currently just playing with artillery not transport and just using the artillery if needed...

yeah, I agree it doesn't earn much extra, we kept one of our arty/airstrike low to be cheaper to use. However you might need to start to think about taking your skirmish team up to T8 where you will make more profit on a win, making the artillery/airstrike more profitable in turn. Although this can be daunting at first you will soon acclimatise. In some ways the gameplay tends to be a little slower in T8 making it easier to control.

From the numbers you posted there's clearly no point in taking transport.  On a win you break even and on a loss you lose.  So don't bother.

On pure numbers the same applies to artillery, but artillery might sway the game, so there might be some value in taking it if it's used sparingly.  There is also the fun of taking it.

Do have a go with Tier 8 though.  They are worth it at that tier and T8 is a lot more lucrative.  If you take T8 premiums and run a credit booster you can make buckets of credits.

Yeah sadly at tier 6, no point in transport.. Arty/airstrike is always fun tho, when I remember to use them lol... ;)
