Hi guys,

I like to hear your ideas about Obj 430U crew skills.

Firstly, about Driver skills.

I got BIA and Repair, which one should be the third? Smooth Ride could be a easy pick, but what about Clutch Braking or Off-Road Driving as the tank is a bit sluggish?

Second question is about Camo.

I have planned first 3 skills for each of my crew, the set includes BIA, Repair and a mush-have third skill.

What about Camo being 4th? As 430U is a brawler I was not going to take it but after I noticed that actually the vehicle has better base Camo value than Obj 140, I started to consider about pushing that strong side a little bit further.

Like to hear your thoughts, they are much appreciated.

GG.

Off topic but after a handful of games I am struggling to bond with the 430u. It's good, but the wz1115a seems almost as mobile, and does a lot of stuff better.

The directive "fire extinguisher" has no effect with that current set up as none of your crew members have fire extinguisher skills.

For OP: Camo is pretty much a must have skill in most of the medium tanks, beeing them brawlers or snipers, as you will find yourself sometimes in the need to stop and shoot something and not getting spotted in return as soon as you are in the 445m range. I think I have my crew with BIA + CAMO as first 2 skills and after that I have 2 more skills. Currently grinding the 5th skills (repairs in 2 of them and the other 2 have fire extinguishing). Focus on those stereotype skills as snap shot, smooth ride, safe stowage and clutch braking/off road driving.

You are very wrong mate, that directive acts as if you have fire extinguishing skill on all crew members at 100%, if you dont believe me test it yourself.

Try reading it, then.

It gives 100% if it's not there OR 50% if it is. So without training it at all you simply get it or if you did train it completely, it improves further.

My 430U setup. I choose to prioritize camo over repair because of the great camo it has.37,77%/ 29,02% with this setup. If you only have 3 skills I'd start with repairs because no repair skill at all is a terrible idea. Retrain when you have 4 or 5 skills. Clutch braking is only useful with traverse on medium/ soft terrain and while stationary. Off-road driving helps reduce terrain resistance while moving so I recommend it over Clutch braking on medium tanks.

A medium tank should have following skills imo

1: repair and 6th sense
2: Brothers in arms
3: camouflage + safe stowage
4: view range skills and whatever of the above missed.
5: whatever

Camo is a waste. Better go with fire fighting instead.

Its a brawler.. camo is a waste on that tank..  BIA, repairs, snap shot, safe stowage, smooth ride, preventive maintenance and view range skills.

Yeah, it's not a waste when the base camo values are decent, unless you have a shitty crew. Even if you're a "brawler" it's actually good at outspotting. Firefighting over camo is a bigger waste when you can just use 2 bonds/ battle for a firefighting directive.

Thanks for reply guys.

Decided this setup:

C: BIA, Sixth Sense, Repair, Situational Awareness

G: BIA, Repair, Snap Shot, Camo

D: BIA, Repair, Smooth Ride, Camo

L: BIA, Safe Stowage, Repair, Camo

And for equipment, I'll go for: Rammer, Vstab, Vent.

I think Camo is important as base camo value of this tank is so good.

Generally, I like to use Coated Optics in meds but for 430U I feel like Vent is more valuable, that's why I picked Situational Awareness as 4th commander skill.

GG.
