I've been playing it for a few days and the allround expirience with it is awful. You litteraly give up everything for a bit of mobility. Armour isnt even useful, gun is decent but the mobility isnt even that much better than the 257's.Am i doing something wrong because its not a heavy and its not that good as a support.Whats the answer?

It is one of the best T9 heavy tanks in the game.

lolwat?

I vastly prefer the T-10 to the 257. the only reason I'm playing the obj 257 instead is because I'm interested in researching the IS-7. once that is done, I'm booting the 257 and put my most skilled crew (close to 5 skills, which for me is a big deal) into the odiginal T-10

I don't know what the answer is or if one's even needed, but the problem you're seeing isn't with the T-10 it's with the IS-7 and 257.  Basically a few months ago (maybe more) WG decided that the IS-7 felt too much like a let down in the mobility department after the T-10 (which actually made sense as the IS-7 predated the T-10 so should have been worse aside from a bit of armour, but as WG organised the tiers by throwing darts it was a problem) so they buffed the mobility of the IS-7.  Now the problem came when they moved out the T-10 for the 257, instead of simply undoing the mobility buff to the IS-7 and tuning the 257 correctly they kept the IS-7 overbuffed in the mobility department and tuned the 257 to be overbuffed too.

The interesting thing is what's going to follow the T-10, because it can't be the T-10M as that's what a fully upgraded T-10 becomes, and it can't be a prototype T-64 or T-72 as WG are now against making the tier X radically different from the rest of the tree, and the T-10M was the best HT the USSR made so the only conceivable option is to make the tier X an unused prototype that the USSR deemed inferior to the T-10, then buff it to be better lol.

T10 is a lot faster than 257, it has better dpm as well, imo 257 is not fun to play against with lower tiers and low caliber guns, otherwise its easy to deal with.

It's a great tank, you just don't know how to drive it.

Go hull down and let them bounce off your turret all day

well its the best option you have in T-10, but you cant do it reliably as it shares the same weakness of many russian hts - overmatchable turret roof.

I'm loving the T-10.  My stats in it were 46 % WR and that was from the old IS-4 yonks ago.  Up to 48% WR now.  I may never sell it.

One of the best T9s in the game.  Great machine.

Don't run with the heavies.   Run with the mediums.  And kick butt.  Even when the opposite slot is a Type 4 or whatever bullshlt OP tank it is.  Run with the mediums.

I do ocasionaly have good game with it and im not saying its bad but the stats look great but when playing it the 430 has similar stats and ist an equal tier medium thats what pisses me of the most about the tank.Just 10mm of frontal armour would probably make it even better for a lot of situations.

People are...strange!!!

They'll say play it like a medium, but why not play a full-blooded medium instead??? They fit the role better, easier to handle AND you have less chance of failing to play a cumbersome heavy (which it was IRL) as a medium. One more for the road, why not play the tier 9 WZ 1111-4 as a medium??? It got bigger gun, same or better mobility than the T-10 and it leads to a better tier 10, food for thought.

Think about somethings that are in the game, unarmored TDs without camo, accurate tanks that's not actually accurate, heavies with no armor, mediums that aren't fast, etc. Those IMO are abominations put there to make the game look more interesting or more gimmicky. To what degree did that succeed? i don't know!

Because it does everything the wz does but better?

Its a hybrid, between a medium and heavy, capable of handling situations you wouldnt be able to do in either of those.

I am more thinking, why the [edited]would you play a T9 medium when you can play the T-10?

If you only want to play the best tank of the tier.

It does everything that the medium tanks does, but better.

No it doesnt. T10 is beast, but it doesnt everything that the medium tanks does, but better.

t10 is great, fantastic tank. It is hybrid. You can play it like medium, or like heavy, depending on map and opponents.

And that is a beauty of some tanks in this game. LTWT could be played somewhat MT style, T10 HT/MT, even 430II can handle some HT-sidescraping gameplay on city maps.

those are versatile tanks and that is big advantage for people that know how to handle them in certain situations.

But it is not pure MT upgrade. It has no camo, like most of meds do, and also gun is different then most meds equip on tier IX (after all, it is 122mm).

It does do everything better than the WZ 120 does though.
