Truly and utterly sick of AFK players.

AFK at battle start are the worst.  Click battle, then just sit at cap and don't play at all.

Really I don't care if they have real life or internet or mummy called me for tea type problems. Sort them out.

You are wasting 14 other people's time, which, despite your millennial upbringing isn't your human right to waste.

Rant over, thank you for reading.  Feel better now.

I have better one, 1st report ( 1day ban ), 2nd report ( 3 days ), 3rd and last report ( ban forever ), why like this? People will ask them self, should i be "afk" or "play".....

I also hate afk people, specially those ones, in which they could actually help a team for win, and then he's afk...

Try this, Pancetta rather than bacon.  I swear by it.

I knew I shouldn't have said sprouts in the poll, asking for trouble.

If you go AFK more than twice every 100 battles it's too much, seriously. Only press battles when you know you have 15 minutes available, if you don't, do not press battle and close the game.

If I'm not mistaken you already get warned, then you don't get any credits or experience and then eventually you get banned, but it takes quite a long time so it's not like going AFK in a couple of matches now and again due to bad MM or what ever is going to result in anything.

Could be mistaken, but I thought that was only if you exited battle rather than went AFK?

EDIT: And yes, doesn't appear to work in any event.

Yesterday, I had a guy in a Patriot, announcing "it's draining time", then proceeded to the nearest lake and "bloom".

Why an AFKer is actually worse?

You don't know how often it happens to him, it might have been an one-time thing,

like he lost connection or something, suddenly.

It's not always clear if he's a regular AFK guy or it was just a special occasion,

unless you have that same guy in your team for a series of battles, and you can confirm that in all of them, he was

actually AFK.

Deliberate AFKers should be punished, but in randoms you're not always sure.

Hmm unsure, think it works the same for both, but not sure if it works for the ones that drive into a corner and go AFK since technically they moved.

Especially since most games rarely exceed even ten minutes. And while they might not have those 10~15 minutes left in most cases they should still have one or two minutes left to go YOLO into the enemies and go out with a bang, so far none of those who have admitted to going AFK here in the forums have sufficiently explained why they didn't have even that little time.

Or for that matter, just turn your tank in a desired direction and hit 'R' two or three times before you disconnect. You will draw enemy fire away from more useful team members, you might even get spotting damage, and foremost your team might not even notice that you're a quitter (and those who do might think it was an unwanted loss of connection)

Face it, there is much the AFK players could do instead of letting their tank just sitting motionless in the base, so with some lenience towards accidental connection losses I'd say yes, repeated AFK should get more penalized.

I like sprouts, but I dislike AFK players. It was a hard choice!

All jokes aside, people who deliberately go AFK are a huge annoyance of mine. Of course, connection issues happen, and sometimes real and unforeseeable emergencies happen, but people who happily announce that 'dinner is ready', 'baby needs a change' and whatever else comes up that 'couldn't' have been seen coming from miles away, should be punished. Given that it is going to be hard (impossible) for WG to differentiate between 'good' and 'bad' reasons, I'd suggest a system with several warnings (3-5) per a certain amount of games and if you are AFK more often than that, you get the bot treatment. Incremental credit/xp fines to begin with and bans for those who simply don't learn.

if it is pure about players in base being and staying afk they should be punished. Negative credits and no xp at all sounds like a plan. Short bans up till a day would work also I think for people not to do it.

How many have you seen AFK two battles in a row?

Maybe someone clicks battle, then realises they are busting for a dump and have to run for the bathroom, overturning their chair, while clutching their bum. By the time they've finished wiping, their team is 13-3 down.

For people who are regularly caught short, maybe they're allergic to something. I know someone who eats a lot of cheese and they have to sprint like an Olympian, crying out about stomach cramps, and the noises which follow can only be described as "banned even on the dark web". What makes it all the more horrifying is that this person is a girl.

True, but equally how many times have you seen the same person in a battle twice in a row?

EDIT: or if you mean any player AFK twice in a row, plenty.

As I said, don't care sort it out.

They can come prepared (like I do) to game.

Mind you some websites pay good webcam money to watch this sort of thing .... at last, the penny drops, found a way to pay for premium time and gold shells.  Hooray!

No, I meant the same person.

Unless you see them AFK more than once you have no way to know that it's not a RL problem taking them away.

I was in platoon with someone the other day, their internet went down half way through the battle, of course he got the inevitable AFK noob bot comments thrown at him by dead players.

It works for idle and if you leave the battle early. And idle as in no input from start to finish. If you do it, the tank auto destructs at the end if his team wins to add repair costs. Then it counts. Do that enough times in a row, you get a warning. Keep doing it, you get zero XP and credits a few times before you get banned.

Take this battle I had last night..... look at the enemy T-44. He was AFK all game. The last kill of the game as we found him in base idle. Zero XP given, indicating he had done it a few times of late. Zero damage IS-3 above him with some XP died before he got up to castle on swamp. But at least he moved.
