Going with a buddy in a platoon with Tier X and getting thrown in a match favourable for us.

>Tier X's in with tier 8's

>Ensk

>Our team X heavies- IS4 and IS7

>Enemy team E100 and Type 5+ Type 4

>If we go right to avoid derp guns we get outplayed by way more mobile thanks than us

>go inside city so we can try to not get our team blasted to pieces by derps

>End up bouncing most of shells off Type 5

>Get destroyed anyways

>lose the game

>thinking of any way i could have countered the derps

>cant think of any

How can the mm be fair for both sides if the match up isn't fair? If it was a different map it would be a different story but still.

Any suggestions on how to counter this kind of situation and actually win the game and not just farm dmg?

Considering it's a random battle and I cant coordinate my whole team, i can only do all I can myself.

Wouldnt it be fair if mm matched these derp mutants against each other instead of giving one team full of derp guns and the other-none?

Here's your problem.

Surely it would still depend on what he was driving though?

Trading 50 damage per shot with HE for several hundred damage per shot from the two Chinese heavies isn't going to work out very well for him

You seem to suffer from the same problem as he does.

That didn't really answer the question though did it?

The question? You're suggesting trading HE shells and you think you're asking something worth answering?

My initial reply was that his biggest problem is being stuck for being unable to come up with anything. It's like he just gives up and is willing to trade with AP and get farmed. Then you come along and say that.

In the situation described (with the little details we're given), I'd opt out of city, try to use their poor mobility against them by isolating them in there (where they expect to be trading) and deal with their team. Once that's done, and without support facing bigger numbers, they get farmed pretty fast.

I'd go to somewhere else on the map and hope someone else kills them lol, so that's "almost" the same haha

But I thought your "if you cant hit anything with H/E....." thing was a quote you added in response to his question

Ignore the city and let the Types have it. Go join your meds on the right and help them utterly smash them. Now you can work on the city with the help of all your meds.

If you go right and your own mobile tanks go left then yes you are going to lose.  If you go right with the support of your more mobile tanks then you have a chance.  If you go left then you are probably going to have to press 2.

You should hope no one goes to fight them. Just take the rest of the map and help your meds smash it. Then deal with the derps when they have no one left and you can gang up on them.

Of course, this relies on the rest of your heavies getting the hint and not being dumb enough to try to fight them and die uselessly.

Go on the field and smash it.
Since enemy lacked T10 at that area, it is an easy win for you and you can more or less just hold down W,and shoot enemies along the A line and then win that whole area in like sub 3 minutes.

Or you go mid road and farm whatever you can at both flanks.

I was watching the WG live stream the other night on twitch. They were featuring replays showing teamwork, platoons and such and obviously giving away rewards for these replays. So of course as a "great example" of teamwork was a 2 tank OI platoon, as top tier on a city map. And on the other team the MM had given a cromwell and another medium of some sort I forget. Oh did I ROFL.

WG reward this when basically the MM gave them a free win.

A pair of OIs as top tier in a 3/5/7 on a city map is basically impossible to lose.

Anyway, point is, in this game you should never engage in a fight you can't win, unless it buys your team time to press an advantage else where. If you can go fight effectively elsewhere, go do it and if not, go down swinging and buy as much time as you can for your team.

Such a battle would only be worth featuring if the O-I toon somehow lost.

Because such a feat would have required teamwork.

IS4 and especially IS7 have superior mobility to E100 and Type 5, use it and over run the rest of the enemy team through the field bullying their mediums, thus giving you a numbers advantage. IS4 also has 340 pen HEAT rounds which will go through a Type 5 reliably.
