Edited  rolled in glitter. Hopefully WG starts to fix the broken tanks and mechanics next, you know, those things that actually matter from the game enjoyment point of view.

I will never understand wargaming and their insistence on polishing aesthetics rather than mechanics.

Updates are installed, but the update map still contains 8.6 gb of files. Are they safe to delete?

In my opinion, maps are very open right now. It will be an arty party. I guess it will be a heaven for heavies as well.

If it is what you intended to to, it's ok. You achieved your goal, but if it isn't...well....

a popup "graphic settings" stays in the middle of the view during the whole match. Even after going to settings making modifications or not, it does not go away.

Devs: Gj the game looks fantastic.

I deleted them with no ill effects. Even after relaunching the game. Go ahead and delete them.

TEN maps gone - ONE new one - fair exchange for new graphics - well yes as long as you guys bring in at least 2 reworked or new maps every patch. Start with reworked Highway and Swamp please.

had 1 game so far, went trough 2 'destructible objects' and this new havok thing looks worse than it used to. hire a freaking engineer to describe these objects as they behave for real, not an it fart, a real freaking structural engineer. walls that bounce of tanks like they are squash balls...wtf...

Looks better now, and at least on my PC (4k, 1080ti, SSD) the performance is good enough for now. The game feels almost like a new game.

Things I don't personally like after few games:

1) Reworked old familiar maps. Just make new ones and leave the old ones alone. Small changes are okay, but for example demolishing lots of buildings and changing the appearance of old ones goes too far.

2) Although it looks nice to see outside of the map (buildings, mountains and whatnot), at least for me it is for me too distracting now. Especially now that old maps are reworked. Maybe add a setting to blur the outside area like it used to be?

3) Muzzle flash. Like everyone is shooting rockets now! I will lower "bling bling" settings for sure!

4) Do we really need that pop up about settings in the beginning of every match?

I think WG has done a great job. The music is awesome. And the game still runs on my 6 year old laptop on low not minimum settings :)

Well, as usual Mac users are left in the crap. Neither the Codeweavers nor PaulTheTall wrapper works anymore. Yesterday the game ran full screen (2560x1440) at 115 fps / 30 ms on a bog standard, 7 year old iMac. Today it won't even load.

I have played 60k games on my Mac and have about 85 premium tanks. I, and many other Mac users, have put lots of money in WG's bank account so I hope there will be a working update to the wrappers soon.

Launched a game around 2AM and servers were down for updates, launching it today and surprise surprise - not working on OSX. Hope they will get it soon, curious how it looks on MAC

Don't like the missing red boundary line on the maps.  If you don't keep watching the mini map constantly you find yourself bumping the edge of the play area.

Also find the bits of broken wall bouncing off tanks stupid... more like an ice hockey puck.  Broken walls should become small heaps of brick to drive over.

Hey! If you go to Settings - Battle Notifications - Map Border you can find all sorts of options for this (wall, dotted line, do not display). Try to tweak these and see what works best for you! :)

Hey guys!

You might have noticed that we have an issue with the daily 2x XP bonus not resetting after the update. (I promised more info here) This is a one time issue that will be resolved tomorrow, however we would like to still give you the opportunity to earn your daily bonus while you are trying out the new HD battlefields and also compensate you for the inconvenience. We have activated a server wide mission granting you 2x XP for all vehicles, once per vehicle, after the first victory of the day.

Effectively this means that for the vehicles that have not been reset since yesterday you will get get the 2x experience bonus via this mission and for the vehicles you have the bonus on (you didn't play them yesterday) you get both the daily bonus and the bonus granted by the mission. There will be in-game notifications about this to make everyone aware of the mission.

Happy tanking!

As this update is mainly about the gfx then for me, i would rate it as a success, but it needs optimizing better as the lag enterinng/exiting battles and during countdowns is a pain. You also need to make sure that the next update starts addressing some of the issues that have been around for at least as long as i have. Failing to do that will just make todays enhancements a waste of time.
