why do i have to get half deaf every time i get penned, the sound of the shell hitting is like a 100 times higher than the rest of the sound and it's destroying my ears.

only way to avoid this is having wolume set at 5-7 im "effect's" and then you only hear the pen sound and nothing else

it was the same before 1.0 and with onboard sound card(asus Z170 PRO gaming motherboard) and astro A40. and have the same problem with HyperX cloud II

The themed musics are pretty... lame. Steppes sounds like Little House on the Prarie.

I'd like to hear getting shot. This was problem every single update on test server and people complained about it. Yet you failed to fix it and put the patch out knowing its broken. Wtf WG?

Horrible.

Unplayable.

Rotate tank: Sound stutters.

Rotate camera: Sound stutters.

Move tank: Sound stutters.

Happened in a game with training after a Pz II shot alot of small shots on a dead tank, now every random match is un playable because it happens.

Recorded it too, with Action (Using Original quality settings at 60 fps.)

Edit:

The music is superb! The classical score, the individual scores for the maps and the changing music during the battle are great. The music when queuing up is perfect. It is exciting and hypes you up for the coming battle. I really have to say the entire music score of this patch is absolutely brilliant.

The sound effects are great as well. The sound of shells whizzing by, the heft of artillery shells hitting, the scripted artillery barrages and gunfire all sound great. Listening to the Nebelwerfer or Katyusha barrage on arctic region makes you want to find the next trench or hole to hide in.

I do have one criticism: some of the effects are a little to loud. Gunshots and getting hit are a lot louder compared to all other sounds. I think they should be dialed down a little. But overall the sound of this patch is great. The sound of the game has never been better.

I personally don't like the new songs from battles, not even the ones from Victory and Defeat. I want to find the audio folder and try change the songs with the old ones from the last version. These new songs are confusing me when the battle starts. I know, I know I can turn off the music, but I am used to listen something on the background and this new something sounds like a noisy mixed instruments... my opinion. By the way, does anyone know where's the audio folder? I really wanna try change the songs with those form the last version.

Best regards!

Occasionally I don't hear my tank being hit, I say occasionally it was once yesterday and it hasn't happened so far today. Today I get jitter in the sound, as if the system can't keep up. I replayed 2 replay files and it's not the same. The replay plays sort of correctly but you can hear when it starts the jitter. In game it sounds as if IP voice has no QoS set up and there are gaps in the sound. Sure this isn't QoS (Networks) but the jitter does sound similar. Part way through the game the sound goes jittery and gets worse until it's difficult to concentrate. The game graphics seen unaffected at this time. I thought it was the 'Automatic' settings so I set it manually to 'laptop' after the restart. The next game it was the same and the replay had much less of a problem.

Update when this problem occurs the strange noise only happens when the tank moves or moving the turret, exactly the same as Zetika’s video

I have a very low spec laptop, Win 10,  an old spec i5 cpu, 8gb ram and Intel 4000 graphics. I have a good fibre optic internet connection. I have never installed any mods.

Hello,

I played 1 game with fcm36pak40. I did not get hit, but while moving, my engine sound was constantly interrupting. Also, when I shot a tank, the voice was interrupting as well, like: "we've....got.....them..., as if the game was slowing down and coming back to normal. Weird, I will come back with other stuff I find.

I have one issue with the sounds which people mentioned before - lack of explicit sound of my tank being penetrated. I played few battles yesterday and had problems noticing that enemy is actually dealing damage to me. This may seem like just one little sound that needs to be fixed but gameplay wise it is a very important sound.

just to add to those already existing posts:

WE WOULD LIKE TO **HEAR** WHEN OUR TANKS ARE HIT, not just discover that we're low health after we believed we dodged projectiles like some bosses

Anyway to remove some sound like the engine from zeppelins on Redshine? Very annoying when north team. Almost got a headache.

The new battles music intros sound much more interesting than the old lame music intros.

The audio is the cause of all the loading issues, crashes and BSODs. I disabled all audio and it more or less fixed the problem. (minor crashes and bugs here and there). This update is HUGELY unstable. The poorly optimised audio seems to be the culprit for me.

As soon as there more than a few sounds, the audio goes bananas and get into at shutter loop or something

Have to turn of all sounds unless shots, and voice.

Using standard build in audio with standard windows drivers

Let me guess you got a nvidia gpu?

Also do you use a soundcard in your computer other then onboard ?

I had this problem with the patch 9.22 , I had to disable the sound driver from my 1050ti and also used a program called  "voice meeter" to select the sound driver/card that has to be used.

Also I got an external m-audio sound card.

But now I have again this same problem with update 1.0 , sound stutter when shoothing , turning the mouse fast around , when spot sound plays etc.

I think this problem is also a nvidia problem , I used a older graphics driver and had no problems.

Now I did an update and all the stutter crapis back again.

Also this problem only happens in wot??! Otjer games work just fine.

I think the computer just has problems to know wich sound card it needs to use.

Also turning off the environment sound effects did help to prevent so much stutter as you have.
