I guess alot of you realized it or will as soon as you start playing on the new maps... all maps seem flattened.

So were the WG map designers just lazy to design bumps and hills properly or is this a stealth buff for tanks with low gun depression aka Russians & Chinese ?

Currently this seems to be reality:

Just find new cover. The major ridge still there. Or use small rocks, debrice pile and others.

Soviet vehicles typically have poor gun depression...

Great A'tuin proved the need for flat ground.

PS: Is this the 3rd or 4th straight patch with buffs to soviet vehicles ?

Well... asking a balance between seismic crazyness and ultra flat-tron is asking the moon as always.

I would dare say, that the previous maps were made inappropriately rocky with retarded elevations throughout a square kilometer or less.

You should have seen the maps 2010. :child:

Ensk flat version is simply brilliant.

Tried it out in my LTTB today and I beat my personal record for spotting the entire enemy team before anyone moved from spawn really.

I guess this is what they were aiming for, feels like Pikachu Volleyball on hardcore difficulty once everyone starts shooting.

It will be kinda interesting (if your brain has nothing else on) to see where the company will go when the word gets out the game is essentially go Russian or go home. Will they reprofile the maps? Remove some Communist GD? Much as they seem keen to undervalue Western technology at every point, they need players to be grinding other lines to keep the cash flowing in.
If nothing else, I think the flatness robs maps of a lot of their prettiness.
