1.0 update has made game unplayable with 8-21fps and im a gold buyer.... I have a core 2 due 2.6ghz ,12 gig ddr3 ram, 480gb ssd but the killer is a gt220 gfx. I refused to accept it so went back in to my overclocking days and pushed to it to the extreme. So much so that i dont expect it to last long... but im now getting 25-40 fps with an average of 28 so at least its playable now. So all those that like me have a potato computer OVERCLOCK UR BLIMMING GFX CARD. If you have NVIDIA like me download 'NVIDIA System Tools'

**Disclamer**

I take no responsibitiy for YOU frying your card or any other system componet it may take with it. It's your responsibility that if like me you want to play the game and take this dicission.

You really dont seem to get the point of this post. If you dont want to buy a new computer and are running on the bare min settings then oc'ing is really the only route to go. i remember why i stopped using forums. so many uneducated morons :P

Change this core 2 duo for an old xeon e5440/50. It costs like 10$. U already get 4 cores at start. Also change that shity gt 220 for hd 7770. This GT 220 costs more, and perform much worse than HD 7770.

I have all these things plus a one year old to pay for, I can still afford to upgrade my PC because for the money it costs I get loads of entertainment value from it, so it represents value for money for me.

Also I find your comment about kids funny as the majority of kids can't afford to buy stuff and most parents won't just go out and spend loads of money on a PC or big upgrades. Whereas a working adult should be able to save some money to afford a cheap gaming PC.

It's kind of interesting that OP has an SSD combined with that graphics card.

As much as WoT enjoys SSDs, loading times are still short enough on low-medium settings for even crappy laptop disk drives.

Well to be fair, you don't have to buy a new one. Most parts that will get it running way better costs less then a bag of chips used vs what you are running. Just skip dinner one day and you're set.

i had to stick the kiddy comment as the majority of players have that kind of attitude. Yes its sterotyping and shame on me. But the whole point of the post is to play the game without spending a penny.

Buy xeon you still need a mobo and the gt220 didnt cost me a penny as i got it from my former place of work.

a second hand pc is on the cards.  It was between a xeon and q6600 (my fav cpu of all time that i wish i didnt had to sell at the time) in all fairness i could build a really good second hand rig for £300 but never get to that point as there is always an unexpected bill that will eat it up like a new clutch. or now a new tire thanks to the beast from, the east.

mines an intel dp43bfl. no overclocking features, the cmos battery holder has disintergrated and a sata port connector has come off. its only four phase and a bag of crap. my old gigabyte ga-965-DS3  was amazing. pushed my q6600 back in the day to 3.8ghz but only ddr2

the only parts i would reuse from this rig is the ram, ssd and case. i wouldnt even trust the psu as it was only £20 and so light and has no quality feel to it. i do have a faster core 2 duo but fsb is lower. and besides the cpu dont reach 100% playing.

looking on ebay i can get a fairly ok gfx for £30 but again not point of post lol

With 1.0: Low settings look better than old ultra settings.  Don't be afraid to turn them down.

As for the super low end PC users:  I made PC for a family member less than 2 months ago...

i5-4670

8gb ram (ddr3 1600Mhz)

120gb ssd +500gb HD

gtx 1050 ti

Wn10

My total cost was $330 (everything was used parts except the gpu)  I told them, "almost any game medium -high or better settings and you will be easily above 60 fps for a few years. Stay away from HD packs ."

A gt 220 is comparable to an Intel HD 3000, an integrated gpu from 5 generations ago. Dude, I know you "don't want to spend anything on gaming", but seriously.. You can't expect to keep running games forever on junk that 90% of us would consider e-waste.
