Hit sounds not registering?

ETA implying any kind of transparence from WGs part. Not going to happen.

WG <-> transparence - just nope

They will hype all kinds of bull for every patch, and change a bunch of stuff sneakily as standard,

Just a big bag of nope with every new patch.

Why do I keep hoping they will use the money I give them to improve the game instead of thinking it will encourage them to just do more of the same? It's in the question: hope. It will not last for ever.

EDIT: for example, if their main goal is not to frustrate people, why would they make the best maps (malinovka, murovanka, redshire) some of the less frequent, and completely unbalanced and utterly unplayable maps like mines, himmelsdorf and tundra the most frequent? seriously? also, why would they match up good players with thousands of battles with bad players (or bots) with no battles? - this is done in no other serious game - why would they completely ignore reports and have no way to incentivize good players to improve the game for everyone?

The other day I had about 700 hp removed without any other indication than that the HP-bar just dropped. Yeah, Grille used a silencer I am sure. 

Anybody else but me that, when running away in your light, keep half an eye on the hit indicator just to know if you get hit or not? It has become habit for me, because you sure as phuk cannot rely on hit sounds.

This is quite annoying sometimes as I think that I have gone deaf or that I skipped a moment in time. At least the damage indicator still shows on the screen..

I also now have intermittent issues with things like the sixth sense noise not working too.

 

Oh, that and the every-other-game the return key won't get me into chat mode and I have to manually click on the chat bar using control.

WG should just list it in patch notes as a feature. Maybe even make proper announce article. Something like:

 

Special bonus in update 1.1

Dear tankers. We proudly introduce new bonus feature tested from patch 1.0 and now officially build in game with patch 1.1.

NO SOUND ON HIT SOMETIMES :great:

 

From time to time Your tank will lose hp when shot but hit sound notification won't be played. How does it work You ask?

We have no clue applied 25% RNG also to hit sounds to make World of Tanks even more fun to play.

It's defo less common. I am far more irritated nowadays by the jumping camera issue (there's probably a technical term for it). I played a few games where I ended up in the Minsk riverside tunnel, and almost had a seizure each time I moved.

Before, you at least had the option to bare the frustrating gameplay with some friends. For the last couple of days you don't even get that. Want to play with friends? Gofy! Go play with your miserable self and see how well you can bear the frustration!

Sound issue? What sound issue? There is no sound issue, just like there is no chat issue and there are no invisible rocks!

These can all be explained by the 25% RNG we added to all computations made in our game!

Also, we are not even transparent enough to warn players when we "fix" completely broken map locations. Why would we? Frick the players. Just let them frustrate then we can milk them for even more by selling totally op premium tanks that get outdated in less than a year, which frustrates them even more. Changelog? What is a changelog? We don't even know what we changed ourselves, so we can't publish the information. That would make it all way too easy!

 

EDIT: Also, has anyone noticed a lot more fires and ammoracks? I've been getting ammoracked almost every game now. Is this normal? Did wg change something with module damage without warning us or is there a new aimbot out that wg happily ignore just like every other bot, cheater and TKer?

WG have their crack team of coders working on it.  The same ones that fixed chat.

Hey! Yep, the issue is still ongoing and was initially planned to get a fix in the public test of update 1.2. The devs are still looking into it, though, so it will probably take just a bit longer. so they look into it since 6 months and can't come up with a solution? Is this a prioritiy issue? Do you not have enugh ressources to handle such things beside of the roadmap with projects like Shop 2.0 ?
