So, before the update 1.0, me and my pal were playing some WoT, happy and everything. Comes tomorrow, update 1.0 comes out, suddenly my loading times to the maps are huge.

I am not talking about spawning in when the timer hits 0, I'm talking about being few minutes late from the game.

Note: Before the update 1.0 I didn't have this issue.

Another note: I HAVE NO MODS

I pressed PLAY while my TaskManager was on my second monitor, my HDD caps out at 100%, which means that my HDD is the culprit.

In my HDD I have plenty of room left, but in my SSD, there's only about 30GB left, and thats not enough for WoT, so I can't move WoT to my SSD.

I have tried:

*Using lower graphics

*Defragging my HDD

*Using the launcher fix thingy

My computer specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K @3.40GHz

RAM: 8,00Gt DDR3

Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Pro3

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

SSD: 111GB KINGSTON SUV400S37120G

HDD: 465GB WDC WD5000AAKX-22ERMA0

So the problem here is: The waiting time is just way too long and I can't move my game to my SSD.

I don't want to stop playing this great game, so I'll be expecting help from you guys!

Thx for responding!

The odd thing about this is that the game waits for 75% of players to be loaded before it even starts the countdown.  So either 75% of players are using SSD or it's just a small number with a problem.

I had the same problem I will try disabling the sound. It was odd because after the gamme loads (for 5 minutes) i had no problems with fps with highest LOD,high AA and high texture options.. WG pls fix fast..

I have the same problem as mention above. I will try to turn off sound.

guys solved for me !!!!! If you have HDD separated in two parts , just copy WOT in other disc , old WOT delete from disc. Then copy at back on the same place and it works for me. Loading into battle after 20s so countdown still goes and I am ready before battle begins.

That might work by defragmenting files, in which case defragmenting, which was the first advice given out, would work,

Can you try just disabling some sounds?  See if it's the music, or ambient sounds, or any of the others.

this is where an SSD comes in handy. and an abundance of RAM.

I am sorry if this sounds spiteful.

my rig is kind of old to be honest, but

an i7-2600k, 16GB RAM , RX 480 and two 480GB SSD's can run this game pretty fine

and apart of the graphics most of the stuff is two to seven years old.

From the US server:

This worked for me, and I have my sound enabled.

Hope this helps. Did for me.

Block Quote

2. Second method is one I found that works for me. ( Can confirm this works for me)

    1. Launch Wot

    2. Alt+Control+Del

   3. Select Task Manger

   4. Go to Details

   5. Right Click on Wot

   6. Go to "Set Priority"

   7. Change to "above normal" and hit okay.

   8. Can now enjoy wot.  Have to do this every time you open Wot till they fix issue.

Update: Some friends were still having issues and after playing around, resetting "Set Affinity" after bumping up "Set Priority" Seems to have helped.

  1. Do "set Priority as mentioned above.

  2. Right click on Wot on Details page

  3. Click on "Set Affinity"

  4. Uncheck "All Processors"

  5. Recheck "All Processors"

  6. Hit Okay

In sound settings, check "low quality" sound. The difference is minimal, but the maps are loading much faster.
