Liked it before the recent update (beats any and all PoS city/corridor brawl maps like Kharkov, Stalingrad, Pilsen, Paris, etc), played it twice after and it gave me no reason to like it less so far.

It was *edited* before, but it's less *edited* now, but still not good either. As it's not a camp fest anymore waiting for your or their team to make a mistake. But yeah, I'll still take it over Stalingrad etc.

Played it once on assault, current problems I se with it:

- the northeast and southwest are completely flat and killzones. Just give it a bit more terrain  elevation, just very suttle.

- the city is not connected enough, there are not enouhg opening between different parts. Make more ways to get from 1 place to the other in the city.

- A0 corner is completely OP.

Agree. Erlenberg is much worse now. Must be removed. The whole thing is totally broken.

idk, i just go to middle and farm dmg in erlenberg, played this map 2 times on live server, people still go to old positions, which arent there anymore lol. both games i played resulted in decent dmg farm 4k+, but the thing is that there is no meta on playing erlenberg yet, so in the future i can see the same campfest as before. Only difference they made is that now camping wont result in east/west flank, but simply north/south corners of the map.

You don't understand that is map has to be played differently, it's extremely interesting actually.  i'm sure the ppls who said this map is better than before have some next gen skill level, maybe they could show us the way.

The new maps could have been designed better, sure. Maybe in time we will all see ways around current roadblocks... But the eye candy has done nothing to rekindle my waning enthusiasm for the game. The ugly still lurks beneath the pretty. Won't be uninstalling, but neither will I be buying that new premium I was considering. Perhaps future patches will return the fun, and satisfaction, that comes from playing the game "properly". But honestly, just sitting there smashing gold ammo into Type 5s is as tedious as it is expensive. Reading the constant bitching of teenage WN8 whores in comments is dreary. Getting in your mod1 to earn a few credits, and finding yourself face to face with nothing but 430us and 268v4s, is ridiculous. I would suggest the powers that be take a step back and return to fundamentals, but I doubt that will happen.

played twice, both in O-Ni so not the best to judge i suppose. 1/1 and decided after the 1st one that getting into the buildings is bad due to angles to shoot you everywhere.

 

can't judge yet though

This whole graphics update engine reminds me of when they remake a game in HD like Resident Evil 1 they cannot just upgrade the graphics as the game was already loved by people they had to change it and ruin it.

 

I would love for some HD updates for a lot of games but I fear if this ever happens it will follow in the cycle of "We must make the game different" NO.

 

If you want to upgrade the engine, rework the graphics on maps fine, BUT LEAVE THEM THE **** ALONE.

 

EVERY time they have reworked a map they just ****** it up, look at Sand River. GIVE US OLD SAND RIVER BACK.

Only had standard so far, didn't venture into the city, and haven't had any dealings in the A0 corner yet (started on each side once). So for me too early to say whether or not it's better, but i  general I will take more open maps over city brawl *edited* any day.

THe problem is that  an open map isnt what they are creating.  Open maps are maps with soft borders between zones, small terrain elevations etc. Prok is a good example. 

What an  open map is NOT is a map with big flat fields with no cover. That is a corridor map, because that area is a killzone and noone can go there, so the fight takes place in the corridors that are not killzones.
