Mines still completely potato

Why oh why did not WG alter this map with the new update? They did a good job at messing up other maps, but Mines?! 

 

Still extremely unbalanced, and extra so when playing attack/encounter. Shame really, as it could be a decent map. So why WG, why did you leave this a mess?

The hill is made out of rocks now, you can't drop down without taking a significant amount of damage. I don't like that.

If you have some vids about what positions you should take early on, on various maps and types of games, i would love to watch them.

I didn't say I was one of the people who know how to play the maps.  But, when I have a bad game on a map, I know who to blame.

Jokes aside, I think '4tankersanddog' on Youtube has a few videos of that kind, at least for light tanks. The above wasn't meant as 'QQ', but more like Mines being trash in almost any tank.

 

 

Oh, uhm, on-topic and stuff Mines is probably a map that certain people enjoy. Not sure why. Let's hope it'll get a bit bigger, and that someone burns the base bushes to the ground. Ew.

Problem is very simple, yet some do nog "get it". Amazing. 

Oh well, here goes: If spawning in the north base you have way shorter to go both topside, and in attack/encounter also way shorter to get to cap. In the new map iteration you also get way more cover and possibilities to use cross fire to wear enemy HP down, compared to south spawn. 

 

This could have been, at least in part, corrected by moving the north spawn outward, or moving the middle hill to a more central position. This is not rocket science, this is simple geometry.

WG missed this, in the "biggest and best patch ever". And imagine that almost exactly this criticism has been raised before...

Mines is pro gamer lel map so I doubt WG will ever change or remove it...

 

For me, it's just too small and has the one sensible point of contest which makes it a bit meh.

What I like about mines is that its completely acceptable to just yolo for the hill at the start (when in fast tank). Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt...

all maps crap now. forget the hd for a moment and try to focus what was and what now.
