Windows 10 perhaps?

Is the game set to actually use the graphics card installed instead of being reverted to your CPU's integrated graphics chip?

Nvidia released a new Geforce driver shortly before the update. Rollback to a version from last summer solved the problem for me. However, the more battles I play in one session, the slower the game runs. Then I have to reboot.

That sounds like an heating issue. Clean the vents and make sure there is enough air flowing through the system.
