(Might seem weird that I'm asking, but most players on this forum are more dedicated players; literally checked ~250 users through a popular poll a few months ago. It's good to have some differing opinions. Also, your opinion happens to conflict with the idea that 'casual' players would prefer matchmaking where players of equal skill face each other.)

I wished I could say yes, but after giving it all the thought I am capable of, there are so many variables I cant imagine a system that could possibly be fair to all players at once, and at the same time be an acceptable business model for WG, who after all are a business!

Sooooo, I totally took the liberty and pictured a possible control panel: what about these game settings, can we disgress about them a little?

What do you think, what do you like/don't? How would you have implemented them? Would be nice to submit these to a Community Manager and hear some feedback :popcorn:

 

I'm sure, tonight I'll dream about selecting that last option on the SPGs.. :coin:

This idea in the video above of template priority would also be a simple nice solution, 5/10 first (for game variety), followed by monotier and in the end 3/5/7 if no matching was possible in an expanded time frame.

 

Funny tought, when I roll out in my Valentine II (monotier 4 PMM) I always get in a battle; my maximum wait time (ever) was 40s, but it was late night with few thousand of players active. I find hard to believe all these claims about "there are not enough tanks". They claim millions of users, do they?

 

At the very bad, keep it monotier, there is always a monotier MM solution, the difficocult is balancing different tiers on both Team to complete itself. Just take 30 tanks, split in half --> done! The lesser the constrains, the quicker the MM will converge.

 

I mean, they know the theory about routing algoriths inside any router in this world, do they? MWM: the "maximum weight matching" logic, just inserted a little bit of queue and a lower bound on the acceptable queue time and it works magic :great:
