Hi,

I literally can't play this game in any serious manner anymore, because it takes sooooooooo looooooong to load every map that I frequently start moving, when everyone else is already way away from spawn (or already fighting).

And I can't seem to find the source of the problem. I have new computer, Ryzen 5, 16gb ram, nvidia 1060 and Windows 10. Graphics-wise I can run the game at max possible setting without any problem.

-> At first I thought it's maybe a fragmented harddrive, it has been really heavily fragmented after installation, I used Defraggler to fix it, now the entire disk is 0% fragmented. It didn't change a thing.

-> I tried running the game at the lowest possible setting (+standard graphics), it "improved", but I still couldn't load even Himmelsdorf before countdown ended (+it was really weird as only single allied tank loaded properly, rest started appearing one by one after several seconds , not even showed on minimap - I rammed into invisible friendly tank later :P)

I will probably try reinstalling the game to SSD, but it can't be that bad! I have way more demanding games (and way larger) installed on the same hardrive, and they work flawlessly.

Any idea what to do please? :(

All I can say is that I have a budget PC with an SSD, and I've had no trouble at all.

It surely must be something (at least partly) wrong with the game itself. I had these issues (though just sometimes, not everytime) on my previous PC.

And at the same time, I too have a rather dated notebook, that could only handle medium details, yet it never had any issue with loading speed. :sceptic:

When CT, 1.0,  came out installed on HDD and had the same problems, game was 15 to 30 seconds in before I loaded.

Installed 1.0 on SSD now loads fast in fact usually before countdown has started.

So my conclusion was HDD was to slow.

Yea, same problem. Long loading and lag spike. Than I run game at max settings without any problem with stable FPS. It is probably thing with HDD speed. We need SSD upgrade or WG patch.

You need to lower some details, textures etc. to load game quicker. I also turned my V-sync off and triple buffering too. Still getting long loading and lag spike but it is slightly better.

If you’ve already got an SSD then I’d install it on that as although WG are aware of loading issues it’s obviously going to take them a little bit of time before they can resolve them. Personally I had similar problems but they seem to have been solved by adding another, higher performance drive, to my system and then installing WoT on that.

@KubiG6555, there is one intermediate thing you can do, until you get WoT on a SSD.

Edit: overead you tried this already...never mind ;) (That is: de-fragment your HDD (partition) where WoT is installed with a good de-fragmentation tool. I use Glary Utilities myself and it has an optimized for file access de-fregmentation option. Works well.)

Other thing you can try to debug if it is you hard drive: disable sound. Restart the client and see it loading into battle helps.

There is something fishy going on here as this seems to speed up loading times a lot for some players.

OK, I will try the SSD, but if you say it still loads pretty slow even with SSD, it certainly must be some game issue.

90% of other players load in 10-15 seconds without any problem, and I'm quite sure they don't all run high-end rigs with superfast SSDs. That Wargaming! And I really enjoyed the spectacular graphics! (Before I was almost spawnkilled) :deer:

Re-read my first post :teethhappy:. I did that already, 0% fragmented now. I will try the sound though, I had some slight issues with that too, thanks.

I have the cheapest SSD money can buy. Still - in my experience - a massive improvement on any HD I have owned.

I turned my sound off and it helps, not much but there is an improvement. But it doesn´t solve the problem. You can say, buy SSD, ok but there are guys out there with game consoles from 2013 running new AAA games with better graphic than wot has without any problem you know.

WG should patch this asap or give us some options.

I am having the same issue. Have played on max settings previously, can still play on max settings with good frames but the load in puts in around when the game starts and I get a massive lag spike about 20 seconds in as the things load in.

the same issues
slow loading..
freezing the game for 20 seconds..
invisible tanks in the field and the map..
I noticed that the tank appears before and then (15-20 sec) the details of it

(HD client)

I had this issue the very first time I loaded version 1.0 but after that its fairly the same. Running a 2nd gen core I5 with a GTS 450. (Getting an upgrade soon).

But an issue I found is returning to garage it gets stuck in a loop where you have to quit the game and relog...but this has been an issue in the past aswell iirc.

Patch is already live, it seems to improve loading times. If you still have problems try setting WoT process priority to high, it should help.

after patch
the loading time a little bit improve (still big)
I get into the game 4-5 seconds before starting or up to 15 seconds after starting (15-30 sec after starting before patch)
not freezing on game (15-25 sec freezing before patch)
there are no invisible tanks
the tanks appear first and after 10-20 seconds the details are shown on this (the same before patch)
sometimes in the beginning the objects are not destroyed just disappear with the contact, no animation on destruction, (this does not happen before patch)

on the return to the garage the screen hangs,4-8 seconds until the tanks & background come out, appear (the same before patch)......
