So far every time i got this map i've had a blast playing from the middle. The map seems to be actually good, first good map in years.

However the meta still hasn't yet been established so it could develop into a map with bad gameplay, I fear mid might be too powerful and the meta will shift towards everyone playing in the middle, we shall see. Until then though most pubbies will remain clueless, and will probably remain so for a few months forward, letting us enjoy it :)

I like it, mid works, seems overpowered because of lemming trains, but I like the tri dimensional possibilities that gives.

I would love to give an opinion about it but WG decided to only let me play it once in 91 games. :(

I like it too. Shaping up to be my favourite map. Mid in a good med/light is fun. Haven't actually tried it in a heavy yet. Couldn't care less if Tds and arty don't like it!

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how the meta develops on the changed and new maps the next few months. I think it's a bit early to pass judgement still, everyone is driving around willy-nilly.

Yes and no. It's not a bad map by design. But so far North seems to favor the "everyone camping in the corner" tactic. South seems to favor moving out to the middle more. So I'm hating the north spawn atm. Still no dedicated HT or med line if you will yet, as everyone seems to still be all over exploring. But had some interesting games climbing the aircraft carrier on both meds and TD's.

It's gonna end up being a mid focus map. But not as bad as Komarin was in terms of how "vital" the middle was and everyone going lemming to it. 0 line road have proven more or less useless as a vital part of the map so far. West lake a bit more tho. But still an area most seems to ignore atm until mid to late game.

Whilst admittedly a very average player, I have had just as much impact going mid from north as south. Might just have got lucky with enemy deployment I guess.

I had one game via north were the enemy was camping base that was interesting. But the rest is simply north just camping base or the east corner near the road getting raped 1 by 1.

I really enjoy it for the moment and I am open for suggestions to play better at Glacier! :)

Carrier brawl decides the battle :)

Any reasoning behind that? I've seen that map two-three times at most, and suspect that the carrier, while key to control of large areas, is too isolated if the team commits too hard. Once, we cleaned the base for campers and capped before the heavies returned. In another battle, there were so many mediums that no tanks went there - probably a prime opportunity to flank through the carrier areas to get some crossfire in.

Nevertheless, looks like a really good map to me too, and playable for almost any sort of tank without resorting to 'token open areas' like on Pilsen and Paris (that ultimately give little to no advantage). Rather impressed, actually, this is hopefully a sign of things to come!

Waiting for the first kills done by jumping from the top of the carrier. :)

Winning the carrier area isolates the enemy in the middle. Going back to base to defend is always a good option. TD positions for both sides are very strong imo so clearing those is kind of hard. Fighting along the narrow road in the south-east takes a long time by nature. Killing the enemy heavies there breaks their back, that's my reasoning anyway. :)

Nah, i think it is a mistake :)

Like it too so far. Middle is nice, but both outher sides also. 9-0 line has a nice mountain road with good shots at the middle

Its very good imo. It reminds me of el huluf, the desert one with the heavy brawl in one corner.
