Really?? After playing every day for 8 hours I have 350 ish tokens. Just played Abbey with Unicum on enemy team (tier 3) who yolos to middle fires one shot and dies - check the leader board and this guy is in top five of token "earners" with over 3000 - so he plays 24 hours a day with a bot account or he is deliberately dying in 30 seconds every game to earn the tokens. Either way do I blame him ?? Well yes for "scamming" the system and NO for WGs ineptitude for not seeing all the scams coming. Remember the T22 debacle - this will be the AlienWare LapTop debacle. If the laptop and processors go to already top players who end up with a physically impossible number of tokens then WG will just improve their image once again - sic. The easy answer would be to have a goal - say 1000 - then all those who achieve that go ,in a luck dip for the prizes but WG will let the cheaters win like with the T22.

Have you got a copy of the rules that this guy is breaking with his 'technique'?

Also, 8 hours a day?... Guess what I do for 8 hours day... clue: I get paid for it and it's not playing games!

Silly comment is silly and shown to be so, below.  Apologies.

There are already posts about this behaviour.

The account won't stay unicum for long with a couple of thousand games played rush rating style.

Oh, I think I got this. I'm guessing that you are wage slaving. The true way of nolifing.

Nolifer event attracts lots of nolifers. Who would have thought?

Anyway, somebody stated that the rules said that people who abuse stuff will be kicked out at the end. Would love to see his face then...

Well you all whined about missions that has "win" as a requirement with bad teams all day. This is what happens when they remove it.

Tho if WG will react to ppl with 600+ battles a day and 0.00% survival rate? Who knows.

Don'tcha think it's a little unfair if a nolifer wins a laptop, among the other 250 nolifers who will win i7 processors?... What about the regular* players? WG's rewarding the wrong people here, I feel.

I dunno, it somehow just feels...wrong. :hiding:

*regular - means any player with a life, be it a unicum, or tomato, generally someone who doesn't play the game 24/7 because that's just extreme. (could be multiple people playing on those high ranking accounts, hard to believe a single person would be able to play for that long without serious health issues. It smells fishy to me. :hiding:)

On what ground you would kick someone who is not botting/breaking the rules? What rule he break by spamming tier 3 and yoloing every battle? Even if 2-3 persons just change on one account that never happens right *cough* players with most games *cough*.

I could see it as UC coz its clearly is unsport but on the other hand you could say the same about every bot like player in his high tier tank camping red line and making next to 0 dmg.

Blame the company and flawed design more then players.

If they made regulations like "minimum 20% survival rate" and a flexible limited time per day like 12 hours max rest will not count towards tokens, heck, tier limitations we'd have an actual competition instead of this "third world country account sharing for free processor" business we're seeing.

Nope. T22 rigging involved clearly breaking the rules. This nonsense is just working as intended by WG, at most it's bending the rules a little.

Well, the top prizes are subject to Fair Play checks.

So I hope that includes suicide rushers.

They'd probably have to completely scrap the top 500 then ... don't think that will happen.

Cool, fair play.  What you do with your spare time is your business - apologies.

But the first point remains.  Has WG said what is and what is not acceptable for completing this 'mission'?  As far as I understand YOLOing over and over is NOT against any rules, in fact several streamers have indicated that this may be the faster way to get tokens.

Well that guy is playing by the rules. OK obviously if he is botting like that its against the rules, but from what I have seen and heared he (or they) dont bot. The play by the rules and cannot be blamed to exploit the kinda obvious and huge holes in that "challenge".

The T22 medium situation was a bit different, yet also grown on WGs stupidity. Back then methods were used, rigging battles, which was obviously against the ToS or rules.

So yeah. Its an utte sheitshow yet again. WG was so naive to expect people not to use such exploits.

Yeah, I accept I was stuck in a old-school frame of mind concerning the average gamer still being 10-40 year old (or whatever).  I actually love the fact that more and more people from completely different demographics play video games of all sorts...

The problem with making it in anyway performance related or for higher tiers etc is that a lot of 'lesser-skilled' players will be up in arms about the mission being elitist.

WG cannot make a contest that suits everyone, someone will always moan - too easy, too hard, too grindy, too expensive, promoting clubbing at low tiers, too limited to high tiers...

Can you think of a format that would genuinely please every type of player?  Not sure I can.

It kinda makes you think tho. Literally the first thing i thought to myself when first reading the news about the competition and the rules of that laptop/processors was "lmao, i pity anyone who thinks they can get any rewards whatsoever by playing "normally" while nolifing 10h a day when there will be hundreds of nolifers yolospamming lowtiers 18+h a day".

Maybe 3 years ago i would have thought "interesting that WG is unable to think of that during several weeks of preparing the competition", now i think "im pretty sure WG knew exactly this would happen and they want it to happen to milk people as much as possible". Although i have a feeling they didnt expect people to go full retard at t2-3 like they do where they actually dont even need any gold/prem account. Although i suppose those full retard mongoloids are minority and most people nolifing 8+h a day are still playing tanks that drain their credits.

How? I don't see this.

You can't punish someone for his play style. Otherwise they have to punish a lot of the playerbase on a weekly base. I just tried myself, yolo with some brain and you  end up Top 5 what means I still did more than 66% of my team in such battles. So, how to decide what is normal and whats not normal gameplay that needs to be sorted out?

Also I don't see how fair play checks will take into account here. They will compare the list of winners with the list of users that is created over the time with unwanted Mod's and/or Bot's and remove them from the list of winners. With some luck they will also check the connection logs of Top 251 to identify who connected from different locations very often.

But they can't identify accounts what share the account from the same location. You would say that the account on the top of the list can't play 24 hours a day, you are right, but where is the limit? Then it comes to the question by how many hours playing the game each day an account becomes suspect. You can't draw the lines afterwards.
