Do the Devs look at what Mods are being used? If so do they try and implement some of the most popular Mods as player selectable options in game? Obviously as there are so many popular Mods being downloaded and used there is a short coming in the game that players may want introducing as selectable options.

I think the Devs have their own agenda.  There are certain mods I thought would have been adopted long ago, Automatic Crew return, same with equipment like Bino's and camo nets, But as the community recommends something I find the more they don't listen.

It's a shame really as you have named 2 prime examples of Mods that should be in the game.

Devs listening to us ..  how amusing. implementing Mods has no profit for WG so they are not interested. Now if you were suggest another OP Premium tank or say the income is too high make it less efficient to play they would be all over it!

You've been playing since 2012.

Not notice some of the mini map features came direct from XVM or the arty battle assistant or the tank stat in garage amongst probably many more?

So err, yes yes they do and have publicly stated they review popular mods and implement the best ideas.

Imagine being such a bad poster you have to start your reply with ''you've been playing since X year'' and then act all embarrassed about answering a simple question. Imagine being such a lowly form of life you have to satiate your ego by acting superior to some guy asking a question on a tank videogame forum.

No mods that might negatively impact income! Sorry no vodka 4 u!

The crew and equipment mods would decrease possibility of players just spending gold and such to have more crews and equipment ...so nope sorry no can do.

The err is a verbal pause as if I was speaking to him in person.

The state of the forums would be improved without people like you, not least because you can't spell - you're dragging the IQ down.

i guess you have not seen the last Q&A

you can find it here https://thearmoredpa...f-tanks/page/2/

Block Quote

•We understand the various mods currently distributed in the game and there is talk in the team about which mods to install as standard in the game. This is left to the desires of the players and there are plans to formally recruit (modders) and provide the opportunity to ask for opinions.

They already did.

When I started there were no over target markers, there was no countdown of your reload, there was no choice of crosshairs, there were only dots on the minimap, there was no return crew button, no whole crew retraining option,........

I agree with all of your points, but what I am asking is that with so many mods being used and downloaded why do they not make an effort to implement more i.e. the crew return and equipment swap. The work has already been done they just have to add them to the game and give players the option to use them or not.

The Crew return is already implemented.

For the others: you just underestimate the effort it takes to implement mods. Its not just 2 clicks and tada. If they do this they also need to guarantee that its gonna work properly.

Just a basic crew return, not even that could they do right.

Paying vanilla for ages now, but do indeed miss the option to return either best or last crew..

WG as a company are such utter &£@¢$¥^« ...but love the game even for it's faults....but ohhhh the idea of them actually employing real ppl to balance and implement features!! Now that I would love to see!

I suspect it's down to database hits, every crew and equipment swap has a network and database overhead and no matter how small that has a cost in both performance and financial terms.  When you design a system you try to keep these things to a minimum.

I don't see any problems if same option is added by mod or included in client.  Mod can be even better by more easier to change its operation.  Now when WG has their own page where checked and legal mods can be downloaded, why make it more difficult to develop its functioning.

We also know that there is no legal means to prevent players to add their own mods in client. If client is totally closed, there is always possibility to accomplish it as an separate program running in players computer, same way as now bot programs are done. That kind of system would soon lead to mods operating as added reality methods.

The modding community is effectively Wg's unpaid R&D-department, with the users doing the quality assurance.

Where do you think most UI stuff comes from? Even the reload timer was a mod back in the day. Tho they take the more commonly used stuff. Non elite tank filter is still not "common" enough by the looks of it. It's more or less asked as much about as a reworked crew moving option... with more options like use best crew etc. Tho return last crew is working fine enough tbh.
