I short guide about how to identify the skillevel of your team mates and eventual team mates platoons without the usage of XVM, primariy this method can be used to see who have reached the purple status of XVM colours, but also somewhat to detect the lesser able players of this game.

I hope this guide was helpful for those of you who wants to identify the skill level of your team mates without going through the hassel of installing XVM.

What do you have against red line double bush STVR campers? They are meant to be played like that :D

You forgot the method to spot the tomato in the middle of a pro team:

that guy that is pushing a flank alone and by luck kills a few tonks before flanking and circling the lemming train tactical advance. :child:

If you are on the enemy team remember to always message such noobs with the following "noob obj camp more" (I swear it happens a lot)

I usually spot them when they die in first 2 minutes of the match. Not light tanks, but heavy and mediums.

We had a truly uber unicum adopting these tactics yesterday - but he was so unicum that he could do it in an IS3 - he could snaipe from behind us all :)

That is really some FAME level of unicumcy if the red-line is visible through his tank.

The second tell is that he uses the Stug IV badge, which is another clear sign of the guy being a purple player. Since only really skilled players can get the Stug IV without hax or cheats or rigging.

The badges are also very useful if you don't have XVM.

Reasons to use the Stug IV badge.

  • You are genuinely proud you've achieved the Stug IV
  • You are a very good purple/blue player and want everyone to think you're still at the Stug IV missions.

Reasons to use the T28 Concept badge

  • You are genuinely proud you've achieve the T28 Concept.
  • You are probably an orange/yellow player and working your way up the missions.

Reasons to use the T55a badge.

  • You are genuinely proud you've achieved the T55a
  • Almost certainly a sub 50% player, probably tomato.

Reasons to use the Obj 260 badge.

  • You are genuinely proud you've achieved the 260.
  • Meh, it's a mediocre tank now anyway (masking clear jealously).

Reasons to use ranked battle badges.

  • You are genuinely proud you've achieved certain ranks.
  • A reminder of the life you gave up to achieve the badge.

we begged him to activate the win button, but he wouldn't - he insisted we go and win the game ourselves while he supported from 500 meters :)

I will see if I can spot a tomato again then, though the Lakeville guy was such a tomato carried by his Valley pushing team.

I'm a never badger myself. No badge and no clan tag makes me a ghost on the battlefield.

An extensive list on how to understand the badges.

But I guess you can remove the "being proud off" part.

BUT it's badly missing the:

Reason to use the "Completed the whole campaign with honors" badge

  • You like getting focused
  • Your version of counter battery is drawing in all the arty fire from the start so the team can focus on playing the game

I'm slightly curious how the player name seems so familiar on all the screen shots you've shown us...
