this game  has soem really bad game mechanics that were introduced to i guess please the 9 year olds.,

watch the replay of my last battle., we advance on the left flank, a well camoflaged t67 is ripping our team apart!,

but the hit impact marker tells me where he is at, and i see he can be only standing in 1 logical place.

i take a intelligent guess and shoot and kill a unspotted t67.

what a horrible bad game mechanics.. wot added all these cheats and took away all the skill!...

watch the replay!!

http://wotreplays.eu...down-m4_sherman

this game lacks skill!!!! it is pay to win, and now with all these cheat programs added to the game, it took away any skill!!!..

cant pen enemy tank? we will sell u gold ammo to pen them

dont know where the hidden enemy is shooting you from?, we will add arrows to show u exactly where he is!!!

your crew bad? pay us we train your crew a lot faster and give you a real advantage!!!

look at the replay how i kill a hidden t67 and hit him dead on hes dead!!! i was accurate as can be, i could not be more accurate if i see him!!!!.

It is not forbidden to hit unspotted tanks by guestimating where they could be. Sometimes I fire intentionally based on minimap at distances further than my draw range, and I manage to hit stuff. It is just experience telling me roughly where to shoot based on remembering where the good positions are.

T67 made a 'tactical error', if anything. I.e. the game punished him for not thinking. Questions?

Skill would've been for the T67 to not camp in the most obvious and only bush in that place, skill WAS for you to realise that was the most obvious bush he would camp in and shoot at the bush even though nothing was spotted. T67 was punished for a lack of skill, you were rewarded for having skill (situational and map awareness). Nothing to see here, move along.

Being able to move back and forth to shoot accurately and unspotted though a bush on targets you can’t actually see when firing is super “gamey” and requires very little skill.

If anything the OP displayed more skill by knocking out a concealed enemy using their map knowledge.

What a dastardly game!

Sometimes it indeed feels like the game cheats. What I mean is actually the exact opposite. I see a tank in the distance, it magically 'disappears' right in front of my eyes. I shoot, nonetheless, at the exact spot... and miss. Two seconds later the same tank again 'magically' reappears but I am still loading, loading, loading....

Yeah, not really sure we should make it like the other tank games.

In those, skill is confused with good eyesight where you stare at a screen looking for a green tank in a green bush - you spot it and you then have to hit pixel sized weak spots.

Much fun, entertainment and skill in doing that.

Well done OP for engaging brain. A tank is where it is whether its spotted or not. Now try the advanced counter arty game.

The Steves were getting hit by invisible tanks. Many tears. WG likes the Steves so they started to point out from where the hackers were shooting. This did not really help the Steves, but they felt a little better about knowing that it wasn't ghosts that hit them. And the rest of us got a slightly more dumb down game to play.

Personally I think those exact arrows should be removed. They are to accurate and easy to use.

Let's be honest, sitting in a bush farming tier 5's in a t67 isn't exactly skillful or a sign of high intelligence either.

The arrows are just pathetic and full tard mode tbh. A slight hint like a quick little reddening around the area of your vision where you get shot from like other combat games but in WoT it practically draws a line all the way from where you were hit to the barrel of the enemy tank. It's already easy enough to figure out where the enemy is but those line indicators are just taking the pizz altogether. Why even have cover at all if that's the case you can literally line up your gun with the shown line from the enemies very next shot and send one back with a 90% chance of success. A slight hint yes, but a long line like a frozen tracer? no.

Irrelevant to the point, is a SkorpionG doing the same thing more creditable? how about a tier10? no difference

There's a famous Arthur C Clarke quote about advanced technology appearing as magic to less mature societies.  I'd say the same thing applies to gamers, except one should substitute 'cheat' or 'hack' for the word 'magic'.

I'd disagree. In real life you'd see the smoke and have directional sound and lots of other things that would approximately give away your position. Spotting mechanics is a bit limited in this respects. Having such arrows does provide some compensation for that. imho, it is not THAT easy to use those, especially, since you don't know  if you did score a hit or not. But gives at least some guidance for blind shots.

not 90. at the distance, when the target becomes invisible you are more likely to miss the target even in horizontal plane. Arrows do not give you clear vertical vector. With no feedback on your hit/miss, you basically have to decide if you want to keep pounding a possibly occupied the bush or not.

I agree. But as I understand it they were introduced because mods were already doing the same thing so this evens things up.

Does this mean we will all get aimbot at some stage too?

WG policy seems to be if they can detect it then ban if, if not then either include it in the game or ignore it.
