Today i have a small defeat session and this battle was my last, so dont mind my bad behavior ( broke my hedset also ).

I know, forums have 1000 topics of overlord, but i must send this replay. it was so bad.

Who goes beach on Overlord other than to farm the fools at the end who go down there?!

The kind of people who go to the beach on overlord would not have the brains to even look on the forum

Perceived wisdom.  Normally, not very perceptive and seldom wise.

Common sense.  Very rare and rarely sensible.

Just saying.  I've had some great fights on the Overlord beach.  But then, I don't do what is expected of me, I play my own game.

I can honestly say ive lost every game when the geniuses go to the beach.

When I say geniuses. I mean those with IQs of < 20

Or those that work in the Apple Store.

During WW2 they sacrificed thousands of lives of allied soldiers just to get off the beaches of Normandy.

there was a reason why they didn't want to stay on the beach.

But in WoT they willingly drive down to the beach.

on battles where my side has ignored the beach, weve generally lost due to been flanked. If the beach is on your left, I find it a valid tactic, if its on my right, its not.

The only reason it ever works is when the other team are equally stupid.  That does not make it a good tactic.

But carry on "doing your own thing" with the thousands of others.  There's a maximum 14 chances you are on my team and 15 that you are on the other side.

Everyone that hinders my chances to win gets blacklisted,

so naturally half my black list is full of people with sub-par IQ that waste their top tier heavies on the beach.

The person that goes to the beach on Overlord is a strong candidate for sterilisation.

Can you please show me one such game.

Because I have never lost a game due to beach pushers.

I've literally just had this game on Overlord in the Centurion 7/1 for 6.3k damage.

http://wotreplays.eu...enturion_mk_7_1

Our IS-M and their T-10 went beach and it worked out bad for both of them. Then lots of players all taking their tanks to the wrong place at the wrong time (and a few lucky bounces for me).

Apart from some rare occasions in a light tank to flank in the latter stages of a game, I can't think of any reason I've ever been on the beach.

I would like to see this too. I find that it's incredibly easy to shut down beach pushes if you already own the middle of the map and whatnot. The only time a beach push could be considered effective is when the team that didn't go there wasn't able to win other parts of the map and, 10 Minutes into the game, the beach push arrives behind them and destroys them. However, to say the beach push won that game would be a terrible joke.

Overlord Beach is probably worse than Lakeville valley pushes as there is an argument for Lakeville valley winning games sometimes. Although I'd still never go to either...

Your personal "great fight" probably cost your team the match though. There's very, very simple reasons why the beach is a useless waste of time and tanks. If you're not interested in helping your team or winning the game, by all means, go beach, but you might as well just jump off the cliffs.

overlord beach is way way more useless than lakeville valley...

because valley has a direct route to the enemy base at least...

I use the lakeville valley in under 2 circumstances..

If I play an arty.. (to farm the enemy team who just happens to stop when they see 1 enemy tank on the ridge..

or If there is no arty in the game and I am playing a hulldown heavy... It is so easy to hold that flank single handedly.. with the current mentality of the player base
