Tier 5-6 tanks with big alpha and low shell cost.

But essentially, you can farm kredits with nearly all tier 5-6 tanks if you handle them well and don't shoot premium. I always make profit with KV1, T34-85, Jumbo, Vk16 Leo, even with the Czeh PzT25 (if I don'T shoot premium).

I use T-150 as a credit maker. 300 alpha and good pen for just 270 credit!

I'm told it's mid tier arty, m44 or something if you can face playing it.

I always found the tier 5 french heavy bdr thing to be quite good when I was free to play, but that was before the brought in the jap heavies, so no idea these days

Might not be 100% accurate but check vbaddict. You can see overall and per tier which make most profit.

Blimey, on vbaddict there are only around 30 tanks that on average make a net profit, with around 100 that don't.

Just what the hell are people doing out there?

well what can I say, we all watched some qb vids so now we all play with prem consumables & press 2 anytime something looks like it needs shot at.  You need to buy a fort knox package every month to keep your rng up anyway.  Yes I do speak for everyone.

Any tier 5/6 tank you can play well and do damage in. What others or vbaddict says don't help if those tank's don't suit your style and you don't reliably do damage in them etc. Experiment, play around with the tier 5/6 you have. See what works for you with the damage output you can do vs expenses etc. Non premium, lights works best for me tbh. But that's just me.

What Balc0ra said, and add "whatever you find fun to play".
That is basically the reason why the Panther/M10 is recommended often. You're always at least somewhat useful - extremely important for having fun. Wait for a discount during the 7th anniversary though.

M4 Sherman 105 works for me. 70+ % and good DPG. Stats and money grind :)

When I started playing I used the Panzer 4 (tier 5 German medium) to get credits. The 105 mm cannon can be fun. Could make around 10-20k credits profit without a premium account.

If you like the game and want to play it in the next couple of years then I recommend buying a tier 8 premium tank. In my oppinion everyone should own a tier 8 premium tank. Without premium account you can get around 30-50k profit without effort. And occasionally you get 70k+.

tl;dr I recommend buying a tier 8 premium tank. (only one, buying multiple tier 8's seems a waste of money)

If I was F2P I'd probably play something like O-I that can damage anything they face without ever shooting any gold. Typically derp guns are the best. I however would never go F2P, but that's beside the point.

Well depends  on what people like to play. My guess would be a medium with a derp, so it's mobile, sticking at tier 5-6 where there are plenty of soft tanks you can pen with HE.

And when bottom tier you can spamm cheap HE  at strong targets always doing damage.

Also heard the GW. Panther makes a lot of money if played well, don't know because i don't have it, but when i was doing arty missions my M44 made plenty of credits.

But to make consistent money i think it's better to run prem account, then buying prem tanks, that way does not matter what line you are grinding/tank playing the credits pile up.

I hate to recommend arty, but tier 6 arty makes good profit if played with average skill.

other tanks that work good are tanks that are fast, with good view range, with good gun (i.e. good pen and damage): VK 30.01P, Leopard, StuG III G, JPz IV, Nashorn, T67, M4A3E2, Pz IV H, T-34-85, Skoda T-25... firefly should also be a good option

they all make good credits, some require more skill, others less.

Mostly any tier V tank.

You have plenty of variety to choose from.

For example: Pz.IV H, StuG III G, M4 Sherman, M10 Wolverine, KV-1, T-34 and so on...

Since no one mentioned it yet: I would recomend to go for fast tanks. You want to make credits per minute, not credits per game. The first tank i kept to grind credits was Luchs btw. Fun tank, fast,... I averaged about 10-15k credits per game (2-3 minutes each game) while being a bad player.

Basically yeh, the best credit grinders are those tanks that you can make an ok profit in and enjoy playing.
