Several times now I have noticed that tanks near render range and above spotting range have no outline. Is this intentional?

They're most likely behind something. You'll see the marker above them but can't get an outline because there's something else in the way. It can be a rock or a rise in the ground which is too far away for you to see clearly. Sometimes it's another tank which hasn't been spotted, so it can be worth a shot if you have the opportunity.

Do you mean tanks are invisible just as they are on the edge of the render range? I  have this and so does everyone else to and is kind of annoying but this happens because there is a delay between real time game movements and mini-map movements which means the tank is actually moving outside your render range just as you're trying to close the gap.

Yep, has been a bug in the game for years.  Its rare....probably once every 15-20 games or so, but it does happen.  Had exactly this yesterday.  Sat in my STRV103-0, facing a JagdTiger from 220 metres and spotted him moving behind a rock with his superstructure/casemate visible.  It had a red outline as you'd expect.  However, a TigerP passed in front and I shot and killed it leaving the wreck behind.  The JT then moved up behind the wreck, again exposing his casemate.  I could see it, and shot it twice (with pens), but it didn't have a red outline this time.  It seems from memory that wreck proximity has something to do with it......but that's just anecdotal without screenies/replays.

I've seen the same thing on Mountain Pass, shooting across the central valley I could clearly see a T28 poking halfway out from behind a rock but it had no red outline. I put a bug report in so I suggest you do the same. I should add I've never seen this before the current patch was introduced.

I've also had this - I can see the tank but no outine and the auto compensator (not auto aim but the distance/shell speed adjustment) ignores the target. Since the 1.0 update I've had it 3 or 4 times.

Just had than when i aimed at an enemy E50M but i still hit it somehow and other occasions where a bit was visible but no outline either. Hitboxes seem to be all over the place.
