This King Tiger prototype is looking for tankers brave enough to command it.

I got mine awhile back for gold as there was a weekend tech tree Prem discount.

Very nice gun but it's essentially a nerfed Tiger 1 gun in terms of DPM but feels like it's got Vstabs installed for free as it's even more accurate.

Earns well but had very little armour, has a bit of side scraping potential.

Already have the Tiger 131 as my German Heavy crew trainer, but its very nice to see Wargaming changing from the only-Tier-8-of-the-week-format to now Tier 7. I personally was getting a bit tired of the Tier 8 format constantly. Hope Tier 7s will be included more often and maybe even start doing Tier 6 of the week at some point.

Because German heavies are relevant, right?

Not a bad tank at all. I have 3MoE on it. But you have to play it like a medium of at best a support heavium. You can also spot, the viewrange is decent.

Great tank, here is my review of it which includes the buffs it received since it originally was put in the game:

In short, it has absolutely amazing gun handling for a heavy which is very suitable for snapshots, basically tier 9 medium tank gun handling even without a Vstab. Also, it has great viewrange allowing you to spot your own targets and thus get more XP for the damage you do.

And lets not forget, this tank is sexy as all heck!

Decent gun, utter crap armor that can be penned frontally by most enemies, no side-scrapping possible despite WG lies about it.

It can side scrape but it's very unreliable if you're not top tier. I would not brawl in one until late game and you've saved your HP.

Or brave to buy it when you know there's a T7 Tiger 2 in the works, which actually has armor.

It has some stuff you can work with, and at least they're calling it what it is - a 'support tank'. I quite like it. Makes quite a bit of credits for a T7 (the 'credit factor' is supposed to be identical with a T8, but a T7 has a lower damage potential). Not sure if I'd recommend it though. It's not cheap for a T7. Also, there's bound to be some discounts next week, there are rumours about the T7 Tiger 2 and the matchmaking being as harsh as it is.

(Panther/M10 remains a very valid choice for a fun premium, if you can handle the Panther playstyle. It's a strong tank, doesn't see T9s and is an interesting bit of history.)

The Tiger II as it should have been from the beginning. Every shot hits, even that 450m snapshot made on the move. Great for making credits, is no snail moving around unlike the actual Tiger II, cause this one has sensible soft stats for terrains.

And from what WG said earlier, this tank supposedly earns credits as if a tier 8 tank.

It does, watch my review ;) I can confirm it has a tier 8 credit modifier.

If you say amazing gun handling, then it is meant; great gun at long range. Meaning you able to penetrate any tank as you can see it at about 445m!

But that is not the case, German tanks too much nerved. It nerved its character away. A German tank should be superior at long range, by cannon and not able to penetrate from long range if correctly positioned.  For this, the frontal plate of the turret needs a buff.

This is not only valid for the VK45.03. This would bring back the whole German tank line back into the game. It would restore its character.

If a Russian wolfpack attacks a group of German tanks, which are hiding behind an open area. The wolfpack needs to cross the open firstly. If the german could manage to shoot up few, they would have a chance to survive in the following close battle. If not hey should have no chance to survive.

It a game what is close to simulate the reality almost historically correct.

202 penetration on the standard rounds is far from bad actually and the premium rounds are quite nice as well. Honestly I've not had any issues with this gun at range yet.

But I agree that German guns should become more capable long range fighers so better standard/premium pen than other nations *OR* almost no penetration drop-off like on the T92 for instance.

I think it's the best T7 heavy at the moment. The T29 is it's only rival I think. I have it 3 marked, really amazing vehicle.
